New Camo RTV 500

We have been going over to the property at least once a week, and keeping the trails busted open. We also fill the deer feeder, change the card out in the game camera, and do some scouting. There's always a critter or two to observe or catch, and just generally spend some great time together. We'vebeen scouting for deerandturkeys, and formulating some hunting plans for the fall. Ashlen is growing really fast, and will be 13 next month. Shehas really gained an appreciation for the outdoors in the last couple of years, and I'm hoping itsticks with her. She's getting better each time indriving the Kubota, and is a great help to me.

Here's apicture of the aforementionedblood tracker. This is Fred my Wirehaired Dachshund. He's a deer tracking unit!He cameall the way from Germany about 2 and a half years ago. Inthe first photo he is sitting in theseat claiming ownership of the Kubota! He wants to ride all the time. Last fall he fell in love with getting to ride the 4 wheeler at afriend'sproperty inIllinois. I've got to get a front rack on the Kubota and fix him a similar rig to what's shown in the second picture. CKruse

Thanks for the tips, 07Rhino. I was hoping you would chime in. I've been reading your posts on some of the tips and tricks and would be interested in anything that would relate to the RTV 500. I went ahead and got a shop manual, and I've been looking through it some. Keep me posted with anything that relates to the RTV 500 and thanks again for posting here! CKruse

You haveALL my respect >>>keepAshlen in the woods.I've always said, ifone keeps a young person in the woods, most of the bad things of the world will not find them. I love to see young boys & girls hunting and fishing.

That there is some beautiful pictures you also have of the tracker. They are worth their weight in gold. And one good thing about 'ole hunting dogs, they don't care who you are, or how much money one has in their pocket, they will serve you well, and stand by you forever !!!!

Berry's look tasty also !!!!

Thanks Two Guns, I truly appreciate your comments. After nearly 15 years in law enforcement, I've seen too many kids that lacked structure, order, and discipline in their lives. The skill set it takes to hunt, fish, trap, operate equipment, etc. and the responsibility that comes with it, is something that most of us grew up with. However, itis lost on much of today's generation of young people. I say most, because a lot of us haven't forgotten to "pass it on down". The Kubota has been a great tool to help put the "fun" in a day of hard work. We live in town, but have a lot of "country" values.

Here's anaudioclipof the theme song for "The Management Advantage" TV Show. I think it sums up how a lot of us feel about the resources we have been given care of by our Creator. CKruse

Very nice ckruse, You are right about things. One thing sometimes missing (in the passing down thing) is honor. Both city and country kids can come up short in that area. Kids learn by example. I remember being little and Mama helping to work the neighbors garden when the lady was sick....we all went over there ...cleaned her house too.. went home dirty ,sweaty and dog tired but boy did we all feel good!! That look Mama gave us as we hoed and watered that garden was worth more than gold. I still remember that picnic we had there under the magnolia along with those fried apple pies (pocket sized) Mama made and that wonderful feeling of doing something really good.. I try to give the same qualities I got from such as that to my nieces and nephew, as does my sister and her husband. ....Bordercollie
