:14_6_12:Just joined and have to say I have enjoyed going through all the posts.
I just purchased a 2011 RTV 900 XT to add to my fleet of Kubota machines (MS95 Tractor and ZD21 Zero Turn Mower).

Both tractor and mower have been bullet proof, I hope the RTV works well. I have some questions?
1) Were is the best place on the web to buy accessories, I plan on using this in my wood lot to cut wood and for doing trim work with weed whips etc?

2) Just purchased a super-winch 3500 with synthetic line? purchased before joined, is this unit any good?

3) Do I need a mounting plate and where do I get one?

4) Kubota filters are expensive, what do you all think about Baldwin filters, I had a construction business for many years and all my CAT equipment got Baldwin filters, never a problem.

Again enjoy the site and look forward to feedback!

They carry mounting plates.

Kubota filters are pricey >>> BUT, they are good. Don't know about the Baldwin filters. Most use either Kubota or WIX. I use WIX on engine.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH BUT LET ME STATE THIS.
BEST YOU USE KUBOTA OEM FILTERS ON THE TRANNY, and please go back with the SUPER UDT KUBOTA FLUID. Trust me on the tranny thingy.
Don't make the mistake and try to go cheap on this machine. You will pay dearly in the long run. You purchased the best utility vehicle on the market.
Don't cut your own throat and try to go cheap >>>
The Kubota Hydro Tranny is a pickey on what goes in it. Stick with OEM Filters and Fluid on the transmission.

><>> What accessories are you planning on installing.
Did you read up on the spark arrestor ?

Welcome Moosejaw. Your are gonna love the RTV. Two Guns has great advice. I use all kubota filters and their sudt transmission fluid and I had excellent results. I change the engine oil about every 100 or so hours and use the JD 15 w 40 for that. It is a great machine enjoy it. bordercollie

Yes I think I will stick with the Kubota filters, as far as oil I have been using shell full synthetic in both my tractor and zero turn. The MS95 tractor starts much easer in my cold climate. You just have to have about 100 hours on the engine to allow for break in.
The super UDT is also synthetic which will likely help also in this cold climate.
I have lots of projects and look forward to making some mods on this machine!
Right now I am in the middle of putting GM TBI (Fuel Injection) on my 1979 international 345 CID. Dump truck
More to follow!
Moose-- Thanks
