Hey Everyone, hows it going? I purchased a 2014 RTV-x1100C in Camo with the full cab. I have had problems with the power and speed since new and have brought it back to the dealer. they had it for about a week and couldn't find anything wrong with it. If you were driving with the a/c on and went up a hill in high gear it would bog down and stall out if you didn't release the gas pedal. They had a Kubota guy come down and he did some adjustments on the transmission, something to do with the back pressure it puts on the engine? anyways they kinda found a happy medium but i'm still very disappointed in the performance. the best i can get is 8-9 mph in low and on the flat i can get about 16 mph in high. the fastest i ever got it was 21 mph but that was going down a fairly steep hill that was about 600 yards long. I basically keep it in low and just putt around. when I was at the dealer i had asked about a turbo and they were adamantly against it, they said that it wouldn't make it go faster because of the hydraulic transmission. I said well....if the engine had more power wouldn't that prevent the engine from bogging down under a/c load? They looked at me like i was crazy, so today being snowed in i called sfs performance and spoke to them and he seemed very confident that the turbo would help rectify the power loss. I love the machine and the comfort but totally let down on the performance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the relatively new RTV. You are a bit late in joining us. ;)

Those speeds and lack of power are unacceptable. I'd have another talk with your dealer. Has the 50-hour service been performed?

What altitude are you at? Most turbo installs are done by owners over about 7000'.

The normal robbers of power and speed are either a clogged spark arrestor or something related to tranny fluid and filters. You'll want to make sure you stick with Kubota's UDT fluids (there's a couple options) and OEM filters. A clogged or collapsed filter can give you issues.

Welcome to the Forum. I to am a new owner of a 2014 RTV X1100c. my elevation is about 1100 feet above sea level. I can tell you this>> my RTV will reach 25 pretty easy as long as it isn't heavy loaded but even then it will intermittently reach 25 if the grade isn't to much. check to make sure none of the brakes are dragging and change the Hydrostatic fluid to Kubota SUDTII and use Kubota filters. if after this and it still is sluggish i would check all of the linkages for proper travel and then have the fuel injection timing checked.

I hear you, my 1120 is at the dealer right now for speed issues

16 is pretty effortless but after that it starts to fall on its face

Im about 1k feet above elevation. these issues started from the moment i owned it. If it is the fluid or filters i now wonder what will happen since the tech adjusted whatever he did and now something else might break.

Yep, I've had two different dealers check that out and to maintain speed going up hill I have to turn off the A/C.

The machine has torque but absolutely no speed! It has done good starting in extreme cold and plowing snow (other then the shifting problem).

So int he summer when I need to go to the hay barn fast I turn off the A/C before I head up the hill and then I turn it back on when I get there. PITA machine!

I can hit 25 MPH on the flat now, with 280 hours/1298 miles. But forget going up hill with the A/C on.

Just searching the forums for this very topic. My new X1100 bogs down badly when going up a steep hill with the A/C on. The compressor also cycles very frequently. On Off, On Off...The best top speed I can get on this same hill is only about 13-14mph and that's with the A/C off!!
Had it checked by dealer and told it was all normal.

I have found that keeping the tires at max pressure also helps keep the speed up. something else to note is as mine gets more miles on it the speed is also increasing ever so slightly but most of all it will hold 25 loaded now with the AC on .
