I thought I saw a post by a fellow in Louisiana about pricing on the 900rtv. My local dealer priced a rec model at $10,600 with multi purpose tires, he said that the ag tires were thinner and can tear up the ground pretty good. Drove the machine around the dealership a bit, what a nice setup. I don't need the camo as I am not hunting from it, but it sure looks cool.

What part of Louisiana are you from >>>

Purchased mine some bit cheaper than that >>>> The price of the RTV's went up in price on June 1, 2007 >>> all of 'em went up in price about 200.00 , everywhere >>>>>> You can get a Orange RTV with atv tires, front brush guard , for about $ 9750.00 *** The dealer that I deal with will swap out to any tires you want. Wish I could purchase everything in life I need from this dealer, he is good folks, and will work with you any way you want .Think his RTV 1100 runs in the neighborhood of $15,000

The atv tires are 6 ply just like all the others Kubota puts on the RTV's >>>>>>>>>

That is what I swapped out for, was up to the atv tires, I didn't like the Turf, HDWS, or the so called knobby style,. I like the way the atv work and they do everything I need for now with my RTV 900. Purchased mine in Feb. 2007 ** Have little lesss than 50 hrs on it >>>>

Now this winter, I plan on getting some aggressive tires for hunting season >>>>>

I am in Maryland Two Guns,

My local dealer had the Recreational model in stock and said I could have the knobby tires for less than the multi purpose. My farm is 1.5 miles down the black top from the house and my ground is pretty flat. I probably should look around some more, but between three dealers the price was 11,500,11,200 and the last at 10,600. the last dealer showed me the cost breakdown and if I read the screen correctly his cost was just shy of $9800.00. The last dealer said he could order one of the orange models but it would cost more than the in stock rec models. He said he was over stocked and needed to move his inventory.

Is the camo model $ 10,600 <<<<<<<

Is thatwith the hydro-lift bed, camo color, brush guard ?

That is a fair price >>>>>> Now, he wants to sell this RTV as bad as you want it..... You have the winning cards in your hand. YOU CAN BARGAIN WITH HIM !!! Make himGIVE you a top for the unit, install a High Rise Air Intake, and make him change the fluids in the unit come time at 50 hrs. Now that would be a fair deal ....For both of you !!!! Also, if you want one, you will need one in time, tell him you will give him $500.00 to install a Kubota Glass windshield. He's making a little profit on the windshield, but it's saving you big timein the long run.

I asked a Kubota dealer one time about the cost of Kubota products & equipment. He said that all dealers are offered the same package deals. So I took it that they all pay the same amount for their products >>>>>> Just that some dealers try to put one over on some folks ~~~~~ But I would make him deal really good to make that sell !!!!!!! He's the one with all that inventory ~~~~~

Two Guns,

It is the camo version with brush guard and dump bed. He has one on the lot they used at the fair and some other duties with 30 hrs for 10,300.00 still new warranty, he said if it was his money that would be that one and put the extra money into accessories. I'll decide next week. Dealer said when I decide he would clean it up, check it out and have it delivered( about 30 miles) . Thanks for the input

Now this is just me, not tellingyou what to do with your money, again, this is just the way I would do it. I would let him keep the " USED / or DEMO" *** And spend a extra $300.00 and get BRAND SPANKING SHINY ONE that has had NO FINGERPRINTS & DIFFERENT FOLKStest firing what they think they can do to someone else's equipment . I have never been one to fall for the " save youself a few dollars and let see whatwe canget youthing" Of course he's trying to push that " USED" thing on you for 10,300 ~~~~ Don't let him use psychological warfare game on you. Sounds like he's got you a thinking. Don't fall for that, if you can afford $ 10,300 >>>> you can afford another $300.00 for a REAL NEW CAMO RTV. Of course he going to tell you about if it was him, he would do this and purchase accessories. Again, Please don't be that weak !!!!!!!!

SORRY, BUTTHAT IS MY HONEST OPINION

Two Guns is giving you some good advice. You know, whats to say that he won't take $10, 300 for the new one. You never know till you make him an offer. The way I do it, I make my mind up what I want to give and I always offer a lower price. I can always come up, but once an offer is made you can't go back down. I'd seriously offer him the 10, 300 with the accessories that Two Guns mentioned and if he doesn't take it, walk away. You can always come back that afternoon or the next morning and offer him more, or split the difference with him at $10,450. This won't cost you a thing except a little time. It's called haggling in my neck of the woods.

Don't mean to tell you what to do, it's just some friendly advice and my opinion.

Chandler,

Your saying that the dealer should throw in a top, high rise intake and deliver the unit all for 10,300.00? I already tried leaning on the guy a bit and he did not seem too receptive, although he did have 4 new units out back. I don't want to beat the guy up too badly as I buy farm equipment from him as well and they have always been fair to deal with. Maybe I should have you or Two Guns negotiate for me. Thanks for input from both you and Two Guns.

Don't know about Chandler, But I would offer him $10,600 for a BRAND NEW ONE, with the top, high rise intake, and tell him you will pay for the fluids and filters, if he would do the labor for the first 50 hr service. ( FORGET THE USED / DEMO UNIT ) That's what most of all dealers are doing down here!!! And tell him you will pick up the RTV, he would not have to worry about the delivery.( Delivery is also a sales pitch ) If you have done business with him before, and purchase all kinds of farm equipment from him,he should do it because he is still making great money on the deal. Another note, Remember, he purchased this stuff at the older wholesale prices, and selling the at the new retail prices ******** And tell him, ( when times comes ) you will give him $ 500.00 for a install windshield ( that is if you need it ) Trust me, you by no means are beating up this guy, for he is still making a killin', even at this deal, also remember, no matter what he says his cost is on these units >>>>>>>>>>>> Kubota also gives him a " bonus" after all the sales that goes on. Talked it over with my dealer, and he said there is no reason why this man couldn't do this for you, if he don't, he's just being to greedy >>>>>>>>>>> Didn't want to get my dealer in on this, for he's innocent on this subject, but I had to call him up and make sure I was a thinking right >>>>>>>>

REMEMBER, THIS IS YOUR MONEY, GET WHAT YOU WANT AND WHAT YOU FEEL LIKE YOU CAN LIVE WITH ********[:)]

Thanks Two Guns,

I believe I'll approach my dealer with that proposal on a new unit, the black plastic top was $200.00 and I believe the high rise intake was around $160-$170 . I believe he will still make a few coins even at that price. Thanks for taking the time to call your dealer.
