Hello

Been lurking around this forum for a few months and decided to post a picture or two of my RTV. While it is not as fancy as most, it does do the job and I do like it.

Menchhofer, welcome to the group. Great looking XT! I suppose you now have that great after Christmas feeling. You are going to love the XT. Mine is similar but is orange. Every week I become more satisfied with the purchase. Please share more information such as a list of your accessories and what you'll be using the XT for around your home. This group will help you with suggested necessities. Thanks for the pictures.

That is a nice machine alright. I love mine and know that you will find it hard to be without it .It's an absolute workhorse and makes life so much easier. Just be careful walking around the front if you leave the hitch on there... I learned the hard way that those things hurt. bordercollie :doggy:

Welcome aboard Bud.........I do like those sideboards and do you already have the bed coated or is that a liner?.........My ol seats sure do slip around as I go across bumps. I bet those new ones really kinda help hold you in place........God bless......Dennis

I did add the top, windshield and just recently the bed rails. I have been reading about all the other accessories and I guess it will just take time for further additions.

I am looking at a rear view mirror and lining the bed. I have also thought about the stick stoppers. I have seen on ebay that there are kits to repair the boots at a reasonable price now.

I use the machine to ride trails, move log splitter, haul wood and just general all around the porperty stuff.

I did look at Polaris and couple others before purchasing the
Rvt.

You better think more on the stick stoppers. They are worth their weight in gold.

Don't want to tackle a boot job if you can avoid it. The smallest little twig/stick
will damage any boot. Seen it happen.

Do you still have your spark arrestor ?
Thought about high rise yet ?
Oh yes, we love to spend your retirement $$$ >>>>> :whip:

Welcome to the forum menchhofe. Nice RTV and beautiful surroundings too. Looks like you have quite a spread, how big is it? Also, I see you tow your log splitter... what kind of splitter do you have?

Pics will work too!

I must agree with Two Guns on the stick stoppers. I documented changing my '05s dry rotted boots before I sold it. One was still good but I replaced both since I could see it also failing soon. It is an easy job but the risk is in getting trash in through the damaged boot joint and not knowing it. Then, it gets extremely expensive to replace those cv joints. I looked into using some of those split boots but either they weren't to be found for the RTVthen or something, I can't remember exactly but I do remember one of the larger companies that said they had them had a long wait. I also looked at several different boots brands because I was trying to avoid the high price oem from Kubota. By reading reviews, I discovered that the cheapest of the cheaper ones are very thin rubber and won't hold up to the demands put on them. Just check out that part before you depend on them and then them not be what you need. Good Luck with your decision and have fun with that fine machine. bordercollie

Guess I will get in touch with Peanuts since he seems to be the man for the stick stoppers.

We only have 10 acres. Wish it was more, but it works. Log splitter is Timberwolf TW 5. Great machine. Six pieces every stroke.

Anyone have suggestions on a good rear view mirror?

Roof is from diamondbackutv. Aluminum, smooth with rhino liner or some other time. They had special..around 265.00 and included shippping. I did not think that was too bad of a deal.

The side rails are just made out of 5/8 deck boards. I used 1 inch tubing as the stakes. They slipped inside the tube on the bed and I placed the plastic inserts (taken out of the bed) on the top of the ends on the outisde of the tubing. Worked good.

Sanded the ends of the deck boards, primed them, and bought a pint of Kubota gray at dealer $30 applied several coats. Total investment, 70-80.00 Not to shabby. I like how they turned out.

Squerly

1 inch square tubing. You can buy it at Menards, Lowes or a steel supply house. About 30.00 for a 24 ft stick. Lowes or Menards 9.00 per 6 ft or so.

There are several options you have on a mirror. Inside or outside of cab.
Some has even made their own mirror.

We installed a ATTWOOD SKI MIRROR on the inside >>>>>
