Hello AR. You just got cajun double barreled by those two. I, on the other hand am good old YANKEE from Steuben county NY. Glad to see somebody else from this neck of the woods.

Not to many Yankee's in our neck of the woods, Just a few of them Dam ones that won't go back home. Said something about them winters up north was getting to much for them in their old age.

Welcome Army retired, You will love the RTV. Have a wonderful time with it!! I must say I am a true ole southerner too.. I type slower than I talk even!! But I sure like my RTV!!! Bordercollie

Great thing going for the RTV >>>>> NOW, really need to contact Tommy on this forum. He fabricates Boot Savers. And yes, they will & do save your butt on repairs .... They are heavy duty, and very well made. Myself, own a pair, and many, many others have purchased these jewels from him.

Also, need to really think on as soon as you get this machine, remove the spark arrestor ( unless your running on government land ) >>> this thing is and will cause you to loose power & performance. Get your local dealer to order you a high rise intake. That there will save you some $$$ down the road on filters, and also will add performance and life to your investment.....

They are installed on the front of the RTV's,front & bottom of the A-arms >>> ( and many other atv's & utv's ) to protect sticks, stumps, debris, etc... etc ... , from tearing out the CV Boots in the front of the machine. Let me see if I can find a picture, Ipost >>>>

Welcome to the forum AR and congrats on your new (to you) RTV.

What county do you live in? I was born and raised in W. NY but moved to PA about 15 years ago.

Thanks for your military service!!! Pay no attention to that Rusty Anvil guy and thinking you and the Army need help from the Air Force. We're pretty sure he drank too much JP-5 and sniffed up too much of that jet engine exhaust. Now, myself and the rest of the Marines are at your side...

One meeting with Tommy and he went undercover! AR if you order stick stoppers from Tommy watch out for a handful of METRIC bolts he mixes in to mess with you while you are laying on your back putting them on.

Welcome to the forum, AR! As you are already discovering, it is a lively and friendly group, always ready to lend a hand to fellow RTV'ers with good advice and recommendations. More than a little weird humour, too. I can add my own 'amen' to the bootsavers.

Also, if you are moving a lot of snow, you may want to check out using a snowblower. I have more than 2kms of narrow and winding driveway to keep clear and after a few snows there is nowhere to left to move the snow. Last winter I started using a snowblower and it really saved the day for me. Photo below. If you are interested, I can provide coordinates for you.

I understand the boot savers. I think the one I'm getting hasinner wheel well guards on it from the tracks that were mounted before, I'll have to see whats there, yes that does sound like a good idea.
