one owner's ramblings

Just what I need in the bush is something growing out of the roof, eh? :-) (Cannot figure out how to put smilies...)

As for 'Onfoot', that has been my domain name for many years, originating in the huge amount of travel I used to do in various parts of the world. So as much as I indeed look forward to being OnRTV, I think I am sentimentally attached to the handle!

>>>>>just happy you didn't go " FootLoose" or " Slippery When Wet ", or heck just'ole BigFoot !!!!

Onfoot sounds just great !!!!!

Know how onecan get attached to a callname, mine has been there since I was akid !!!!
Is there a story behind 'Two Guns'? If so, I'm sure it's a good one!
Yes Sir, it is !!!!

Even my tag on my old truck, says so ~~~~~~ That tag will never expire, it's a permanent tag with the state of Louisiana ....

Parish of Concordia

I can tranfer that tag to another antique vehicle if I wanted to, or if I sold or detroyed that certain vehicle, I can get another " 2- GUNS " tag ( plain ) .... That name on that tagis registered in my name and cannot be dupicated, even if I decide not torun or use thepersonalized tag of " 2-GUNS", it cannot be transfered to anyone else. That's what the state told me years ago when it was received ...

I am impressed! Would love to hear the story if you care to tell it! I'm afraid my 'onfoot' handle is kind of boring by comparison! But it's does the job.

One day, not today ~~~ Nothing personal -------

Is not a damn thing wrong with'Onfoot' ~~~~

Better quit talking about our names and give the new RTV of yours a name. Bczoom stated that in a earlier post somewhere, his is " KU BABY " ,for some reason, I can remember his well, and we call ours the " IRON BOAR " down here .

You have anyhunting in your part of the country. Do you do much, or any? Bet it's nice to hunt in the snow all the time, easier to track ....

Have to give some thought to a name for the RTV. Like a puppy, I expect I need to get a sense of its personality first. So will let you know after I have spent a bit of time in it. We are supposed to get 8-10" of snow over the next few days, so hoping it will be ready to pick up soon!

As for hunting, there is some really excellent hunting up our way--moose, caribou, bison, bear, sheep, and mountain goats. I am not that much of a hunter, but I do enjoy getting out in the woods. But I do some moose hunting occasionally--one moose goes a long ways. Attached is a photo of last hunt (though true confession---my hunting buddy shot the moose, it being foolish enough to come out in his line of sight!)/cs/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Components.UserFiles/00.00.00.36.14/Me_2D00_and_2D00_Moose.jpg

Onfoot,

Looks like you and I will have many outdoor conversations by lookin' at them pictures, and reading your postings. That is somethingI've never taken, was amoose.... Thought I married one once, but found out during the divorce she was something else >>>>>

Do much deer & wild hoghunting down here.Love the outdoors. Our RTV is our hunting machine, it serves us very well in the outdoors.

We have the Orange 900. Didn't come out with the 1100 series units until a month or so after purchasing this machine. But very well pleased with the 900. For I'm in and out of the machine so much, that really believe the doors would just be in the way. Also, I do much shooting out the doors of the Kubota at times, and the doors just would be something else in the way. Carry the weapons up in the top of the cab with the Big Sky Two Gun Racks. Tell you something else, that diesel engine, some folks told me that the engine would scar the animals away. That's BULL ~~~~ matter of fact, they don't pay it any attention at all. They were more spooky with the Honda Rubicons than the RTV ~~~~~~~~

Onfoot,

Did you ever see that video with a moose and her little one coming so close to a hunter, that she sniffed his weapon ?

Send me your email address, by the contact link, and I'll forward it to you,the video made me quit breathing~~~~~~
