On or about April 7, 2016 I posted this pic of my new 26-11-12 ITP Blackwater Evolution tires replacing the existing Craptyle 25-11-12 tires:

These were installed originally on my RTV-900, then transferred to my new 2021 RTV-XG850:

The ITPs were great for off-road trails and hills, but suffered greatly to riding on asphalt, which I was able to do with the XG due to its higher speed than tortoiise-like-900. So it was time to replace them.

Meet the new Tusk Terrabite 27-11-12 tires:

I had previously installed a Demon Sports 2" lift on the XG; while replacing the ITPs, I found that the rear tires had been rubbing against the rear shock mounts:

It was so bad I could not rotate the rear tires at full droop while on the lift! Hence, I decided to also install 2" wheel spacers during the tire changeout.

You can somewhat see the wider wheelbase in this pic:

With the spacers, the rear tires no longer rub against the shock mount:

The other good news is that the XG is far more stable with the spacers - especially in cornering while at speed on the road. I highly recommend the use of spacers to improve stability at higher speeds!

Thanks for looking!

You’ll be glad you got your new tires in a timely fashion. Chinese and other Asian mfr’s are already shutting down production because orders have been cancelled due to tarriffs. Home-grown tires will jump in price not onlybecause of the shortage but because the new price will be price-competitive with tarriffed tires.

Ain’t things just grand.

And, Oh yeah…. Japan holds more U.S. Treasuries than anyone and is threatening to Dump them onto the market.
If they do…. any investments in stocks, etc will bottom …. and soon there-after Lyra, Pesos and Rubles will be worth more than a dollar.

Very nice tires. I will be interested in what stress, if any, the extender places on the axles. I have held off on spacers for my BX for that reason.
I'm far less worried about the stress on the axles than I am on the stress of overturning in a curve. Axles are replaceable; I'm not.

Thanks FTG....that gave me a great laugh which I needed! You are 100% right. When you look at it that way, extenders make a lot of sense. Our land has lots of places that could roll my 1120 if I don't pay attention. I will read back through your thread and see if there is a size or link to where I can get them. I have also heard cranking up your shock setting to the firmest setting helps. Had you done anything with that?

Here is where I bought my spacers; these should fit all Kubota RTVs with 1/2-20 bolts and 4x110mm spacing. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0945GJTJM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I cranked the shock setting up one notch a couple months ago. It had far less affect than the spacers as far as stability is concerned.

And now I have a ~$60 in-store credit from Rocky Mountain ATV because the price of the tires just went from $179 to $164 (they were $149 a couple months ago!); so a little good news. Now I need to see if there is anything I "need" from RMATV.

Price went from $149 each to $179 each from about a month before I decided (needed) to buy. :(

Do you have mirrors? I got mine there.
