Hey Guys...............My parking brake light is working on a sometimes basis..............Does anybody have any knowledge on where the switch for it is? It must be a plunger type switch that is gunked up and in need of lube............Any ideas?..............thanks.........Dennis

It is located in the parking brake handle. Just remove the plastic cover and you will see it. They tend to get dirty and will stick. Clean with brake clean and it should fix it.

Thanks Pumpkin and Bill....................Am getting ready for the "big" storm coming in; but in a bit will get the true owner, my wife Susan, to get in the driver's seat, what's new, turn on the key, and watch the light as I get under the hood and jiggle/move around the appropriate connector on the dash light indicator.

Then...........SHE will get the appropriate tools to remove the handle plastic and check out the switch................

I say this all tongue in cheek cause guess who really does all of the above; but truly, she is a great hand...........

Anyway Guys, Thanks for the advice...........God Bless..........Dennis

Hi guys. My problem with the parking brake light was a little different, it wouldn't go off unless I held the handle down. I thought the brake cable needed to be adjusted, but it turned out to be a bent switch mount.

Hey...........Bill YOU are the man................opened the "lips" of the brake handle and there it was..............jiggled it a bit and came on intermittently...............sprayed it with brake cleaner, worked the plunger several times and it came on perfectly............ended up spraying it with WD40 as I really dont like the sterile way that the cleaners leave things.............

Anyway........fixed...............God Bless.........Dennis
