Perfect Winter Woodcutting Day

A perfect day today for gathering some firewood, cleaning out some of the standing dead spruce and pine in the woods around the place. Kubota has my Curtis plow on it and chains, along with a load of wood. Started off at about -15F this morning, but got up to about -10. Too hot to keep my jacket on... :-)

Looks a tad brisk.

BTW, it appears you have a varmint in your woodshed. I see a tail in the rafters of the first picture.

It does look like a varmint tail in the pic. But in fact it is the curly end of a mountain goat's horn that I found on a canoe adventure a few years ago. Don't know why I kept it or why I put it on top of the beam...but there it sits. Well spotted, though! :-)
