Come on, give this man a hand with this Source error !!!!

I dont understand that particular error message; but if you have a problem because of size, which I think most errors are, then I will be glad to help you.............Avatars are pretty small as are pics on here...........right click on an avatar or pic, go down to properties.............that's the size you need to make them...................then upload or attach them to here.................

Since retiring from teaching my business is in the Video/Graphics production industry and I will be glad to try to give you a hand...........God Bless.......Dennis

D/D is right on most errors being size...

I have to compress ALL pics before posting, or they will not accept it !!!!

Sorry, I was offline last night.
Are you still getting the error? What are the dimensions of the avatar and size of the pic.
You can also e-mail to me and I'll see what I can do. b w c at zoominternet dot net

We are in NW Georgia in the hills/ridge country..................30 minutes south of Chattanooga, hour and a half north of the Atlanta Airport.............Gainesville now adays is a burb just north of Atlanta...........If we cut across the ridges maybe an hour or so........if we fight Atlanta traffic maybe a bit more or less..............We cover a lot of football games over that way and have produced hours and hours of Kubota/Case PR footage at a sort of test ground they have there...............You think the RTV is heavy duty, which it surely is, you should see the heavy duty Case trucks that are used in mining operations operate.................anyway.......that's where we are....headed this way???????........would be glad to put you up in the Airstream.....Dennis
How far is Sugar Valley Ga. from Gainesville Ga. ?
Can't answer that question, but from Gainesville, Ga. to Sugar Valley, Ga. it is about 90 miles, cutting across the skinny road, so I would suspect it would be close to that the other way around. :-)

We're getting a software upgarde here in about two weeks. The error will probably get taken care of with that.

Thanks I "E" Mailed the pictures to you but it looks like they will have the problem fixed in a couple of weeks when they get the new software.

To whom? I didn't get an e-mail. Please send to me.

My guess is that it's a size issue but that shouldn't give the error you received. Another possibility is that our forum host has a post prerequisite before you can post a pic. I'm not aware of it here but it's not unusual for forums to require something like 10 posts before you can post pics and such. That's to slow down the spammers. Again, I don't know if that's on here (Neil?) and the software should have said something nicer than "Source Error".

Hey you are great bczoom my Avatar now appears and the picture of the new snorkel mount also appears. I will try to figure out how to shrink any other photos that I need to post in the future. Thanks!!!

You're quite welcome.

Most any photo editing software has a re-size option.
In the software, click on either Edit or Image and you should see an option to re-size.
Irfanview is a nice free one.

In general, an avatar needs to be around 100x100 pixels.
640x480 is a good size for posting pics. Most digital cameras have a setting for exactly that size.

Thanks bczoom I now have an Avatar and the picture of the New roof mountedsnorkel is now shown thanks to you. I just thought that some folks might like to know that this snorkel is not mounted on the back screen and is available to mount to the roof with clearance for a back glass.

bczoom is much help,

He help me post my first !!!

FINALLY GOT THIS THIS STUFF TOGETHER !!!!

Don't know if other systems work like mine, but, what I do is put the camera shot in a file, then open the file, find picture file name, right click, demisions show up, click on it, select pixel size, as bczoom said, 640 x 480, then go to the compession , click on it, and compress 30% - 40% . Go back to the options on the forum page. And load up >>>>>>.

Feels like I'm playing a piano when I load a picture, but it works >>>>>>

CanyonCreekMT, Thanks for that photo. Will you pleaseshow a view from the rear and the right side. I am trying to determine if the mount will interfere with my gun rest at the rear of the hardtop. Captain
