Question about changing transmission fluid

I have watched a couple youtube videos of changing fluid. One they warmed the engine up, let it set a while, drained old fluid, filled up with new, and just drove off.

One of the videos he put the rear end on jack stands and after changing fluids, went through a gentle procedure of back and forth with increasing pressure for a while before putting it back on the ground. Something about the swash plates.

When I have changed on my Kubota tractors, I drain, fill, and go. That may not be the best plan.

What are the thoughts here?

The guy putting it on jack stands is just being extra careful. That procedure helps get all the air out of the system after you fill it. Sometimes air bubbles get trapped in there, and it's better to work them out gently instead of putting the transmission under a heavy load right away.
