Question for the DK owners

Can fellow DK owners tell me if the gap between the hood and the cab on your DK has the gap as pictured?
I had to troubleshoot a no crank issue on my 4210 with 20 hrs and found water was entering the fuse panel via this gap and freezing the relays during cold weather.

I don't have a DK but that gap does seem weird. The black rubber does appear to be for sealing but why so far away?
Where the hood is hinged, look to see if there's a groove or other option where it attaches making the distance adjustable.
Can you drive by a dealer and see what they look like?

I have. They seem to think that this gap is not right also. I have looked over how the hood mounts and there does not seem to be any way to adjust it. I have heard that some DK owners state their DK does not have this issue, thus the original post.

Can/will they do anything for you to resolve? Like you said, it's a real issue with water and freezing.

Not sure. The fuse panel is directly under this gap between the hood and cab. The fuse box is not sealed and standing water or even snow migrates into it causing the relays to get wet and freeze during cold temperatures creating a no start/crank issue. This has been an issue with a number of DK owners in colder climates. I doubt Kioti will acknowledge or address this and we will be left to create some way of sealing this ourselves.

How wide is the gap? Wondering if you put some self-stick foam on the metalwork. Something like this.

The gap is roughly 1/2".

I have two separate molding strips on order to determine which one will work properly.
