I just got a mandatory recall notice from KTC for my X1100C. says something about the manifold cover and debris causing a fire. funny because that is exactly why my X1100C was sold to me in the first place.

I'm very new to the RTV world. First thing I noticed is how much debris this vehicle carries and stores. I'm kinda OCD about stuff like that. This Winter I'll try to build shields and skids to minimize this problem.

Mandatory Campaign Notice X1100

I also just received the notice. Does anyone know what this entails or has anyone had it done to their machine? I would rather get an enema than take it back to the dealer!! :pat:

I don't know what it entails but if it's something as easy as bolting on an extra guard, call your dealer and ask them to get you the part (mail it if it's far away) and you'll do it yourself. They'll probably need your VIN so they can register it as being fixed/completed.

Just talked to my dealer today he said it is just a small bolt on shield 5 min fix. Sending mine out today.

Did any of you get the fuel tank recall earlier? My dealer isn't aware of it and I've put it off but now with the other recall I decided I can spare the machine for a few day. Says Mandatory. "Warning: If your product experiences a fuel leak, do not operate the machine until repaired." And then advises if it's not leaking to have the dealer inspect the fuel tank during the next maintenance or repair.

Anyone know if this also needs parts?

Cornerstone sure did called dealer ship it out sameday installed next day. Real easy just a new shield and a piece of rubber to install. Takes 10 mins tops.

Fuel tank recall was just a inspection for cracks if your tank is not leaking when topped off its safe to say your tank is good for now. They will only replace if you get a leak and crack right were the tank is seamed together at.

Thanks tailrotor.

I just over filled it yesterday... I think the side panel has to come off. Odd
that my dealers orders (for 3) were all back-ordered for the exhaust.
