RTV 400Ci

Is this like admitting that the RTV 500 Drivetrain is not working so well (see my Servo Adjustment Thread)? JH

I've been reading about them a bit, seems the only guy posting anything that has one is complaining it's loud. Not surprising for a single cylinder compared to the 500's twin...I also wouldn't be keen on giving up all my engine braking of the hydro tranny. Given the top speed is the same, they share chassis I can't see what the benefit other than a few bucks off the initial purchase is. I like my 500 pretty well, if I bought another side by side it would likely be a sport unit for blasting down trails but for working and light trail use the 500 works great.

I also love my 500. I wish more people had them so I could learn more about ideas for tricking it out. Seems most folks have the 900 or 1100, so not much discusions on the 500. To me the 500 is a combo of the best of both worlds. It is a Bota, so we know it can work and last for a LONG time worry free. But I can put my 500 on trails my cousin can't get down on his Prowler because it is to big. He does have the speed adv. when getting a run at a hill. We hunt a 120 acre patch of woods here in Indiana and it might take me a minute or two, but I can put her anywhere I want on that property. We harvest a deer and he will say "where you want to drag it to?" and I say I'll just drive here. LOL. I don't drag any more thats why I have a sidexside.
