RTV 900 Muffler

Greetings All -
Did the "not recommended" cut off of the spark arrestor on my RTV900. The tailpipe kept following off due to excess vibration. I welded the pipe on several times over several years - but it kept falling off - the weld help but the hole got bigger. Long story short - I bought a new muffler (Kubota - over $400) and replacer the entire assembly. I've got the old one if anyone wants to pay for shipping - I'll send it along. If you are handy with good welding and innovative it could save you some $$.

So, does the Kubota replacement muffler include the spark arrestor?

Yep - it was the old type "internal arrestor" model ~2007 RTV 900. Terribly expensive but after looking at the additional weldig/mods I would need to do to retrofit an inexpensive muffler - I went with the Kubota OEM. Easy to replace - just saturate the manifold nuts with "Kroil creeping " fluid and the came right off. Used antisieze on the manifold nuts and the tail pipe extension hopefully to minimize any cleaning necessary. I'll likely remove the screen after 1-2 cleanings

It can’t POSSIBLY be difficult to incorporate an aftermarket cheap muffler. Tell us how you found it troublesome….
