Rtv 900 pump upgrade

Just to let all you guys know my decision?
, I bought a new stand alone County Line 22T splitter yesterday from TSC. 899.00 , no tax, no shipping and no interest if paid in 12 months. Works like a charm. Has Kohler 3000 engine . Thanks to all for suggestions.

I think you will be pleased T. :) That sounds like a real work saver. :) Stay safe and God bless ya. :) collie

You made the right choice BUD......Lots of folks on here have talked about exactly what you came up against and did the same thing. You will find the folks on here just like your neighborhood, I hope. A know it all that butts in and takes over the conversation; but mainly just folks who go to church when and where they choose and don't put folks down for believing what they do......God bless.....Dennis

Border Collie, do you remember the size of the oil cooler lines you used on your installation ? 1/2, 5/8, etc. if I get bored someday, I may just install a cooler on mine. Did you say the cooler alone would have been enough, with out the fan? I am bad about overkill too.

Who is that Dennis?

Pump upgrade

Richard, that 'log lifter' on your machine must take most of the fun out of lifting those 80-90 lb chunks to splitting area?On a more serious note , how could I add this feature to my splitter? Explain how it work. Would I need another , separate valve and another cylinder? I have another cylinder but only 6 inch extension on it. Send me some up close pics of the operating mechanism and hydraulics of this thing when you have time. No hurry

Hi T. I will check the hose size tomorrow . I can't remember as well as I used to. The extra hose and the radiator tubing helped mine cool because my fan "on it" very seldom came on. In fact, I checked it to make sure it was working. The oil temperature was just fine though.. :) have a great evening, collie.

Why ME, of course OVERSIZED. Whom did you think I was talking about???.....A bit of self-reflection never hurts anyone..........

If you wish to talk condescending to me Dennis, that's your privilege. But at least have the respect to get my name right. A little respect never hurts anyone.........

It's at my farm. I'll take some closeup pics as soon as I can. It certainly saves a lot of back work. And makes a great place to stack rounds when splitting by oneself. :)

Sir....I really do not have any idea of what you are talking about. If my comment about coming on here and being a know it all and taking over a conversation is an apt description of YOU....then so be it.....I tried to once talk with you in private, where these matters should be, and you came back on here saying that I had given you "scathing" comments, so yes, you taught me well about not trying to discuss matters with you as gentlemen do. ....

Now, as to the post describing someone as I did as above, again, I am sorry if that offends you and you think it describes you. I say these things in public and in all good faith. What I was referring to in the post to the fella who was thanking us for being such a civil bunch, I actually was........WAS describing what came in to my head and I fear, honestly that sometimes that does actually describe my behavior. If you think it is pointing a finger at you.....that is your problem, sir.....Please try not to make it any one else's...........

Apology accepted.

Terry, I keep almost everything because sooner or later it will be needed again. I was brought up to appreciate what ever I had and how to make do with little. When I put the new long hoses on the cooler fan, I took the oem off and stored it so when and if I sold the 2011 RTV, I would know what length and size to put back when and if I removed the oil cooler. You know.. just grab the old piece and say "one like this"-just new (if it is too stiff).
I am pretty sure this is off the RTV because it was in my RTV" box of stuff". Before you go and buy many feet, I would measure what is on your '05 to make sure . This is an idea though on my 2011 900xtr . 1/2 " ID and 1 "OD low pressure oil hose.
We are here to help, if we don't know the answers then we will be here in strength to hold you up with encouragement. Brother Dennis has either an '04 or an '05, and is very good with it. He and I follow the same principles when faced with a situation just ask ourselves WWJD . Usually in a bit, the answer is there. .Bless you in your endeavors and stay safe. . collie
