We have a rtv 900 . the back wheel is leaning in bad at the top. What happened did a wheel bearing break?

drtv, Welcome to the forum. What I will say is my opinion so others opinions may differ. You need to jack it up according to the manual .Be careful to not place the jack under the transmission or there could be bad consequences. Then you need to wiggle the tire and see what is up.Rotate it and see what gives. It sounds like the shaft could be ruined too- hopefully not. If it were mine, I would remove the tire so that things are easy to see. Look at the u joints coming out of the transmission and the one in the wheel cover. See if they have slack in them. See if the nut on the end of the wheel shaft- the one under the hub cover, has a cotter pin in it- it should. If everything looks ok then this nut may have come loose.. I posted some pictures of this area when I redone my rear u joints. you can do a search under "bordercollie "post and find it. Let us know what you find. bordercollie
