I'm wondering if anyone knows if the high rise intake kit for the rtv 900, uses the same filter and filter housing as thefactory stock set up? If so, I'm thinking of making my own high rise plumbing and use the stock filter and housing. If it is different, than I don't know if I'll try, due to it maybe flowing more air than a stock one?? Two guns, I know that you have the high rise kit, so I'm wondering if it gave it any more power? Oh, has anyone removed the spark arrestor on a new rtv 900? If so, where is it ? Thanks folks!

The Kubota V4271 ROPS High Rise Air Filter System has a whole different air Box ~~~ is much Bigger !!! And Yes, the machine performace does pick up, I and others could tell the difference ~~~~

The spark-arrestor on the new RTV 900's are in the same place as the 1100 series units >>>> in the muffler, undo several bolts (screws ) and slide it out, then remove !!!! That there will save you more trouble than you will ever realize !!!!!!!

TWO GUNS,

Do you remember the thread that talks about removing the spark arrestor for new 900 and 1100 models. I remember reading about it months ago... I have a newer model 900 and would like remove the spark arrestor. Thanks.

After about 10 hours of use on my RTV I noticed it starting to dog. Checked the spark arrestor and it was clogging. Tossed it in the trash. I also added the High ROPS air intake. It is larger as Two Guns mentioned and I did experience better performance. The great news for me is that it now uses the same air filter as my 3710 tractor. Word of caution... when you sit a trash can full of stuff in the back of your RTV and it is really full... it may suck up a bag or piece of trash. No big deal - just causes it to cough a bit.

If you drive on dust or gravel AT ALL you should get the High ROPS air intake. For the price I can't see trying to fabricate one.

Do you have a 900 oir 1100 model? Can you post a picture of your High Intake for me. I have a 900 model and I am thinking about installing the High Air Intake. Thanks.

Big Air Box ~~~~~ Yes, I know it's leaning, fixed it after the pic months ago >>>>>.

Do you notice any noise from the high rise intake sucking in air? I am just curious, as it is at head level at that point. Thanks guys!

Yes I did notice a slight increase but it was not what I consider annoying. In fact, I sort of like it :)

I did reduce the number of filters I was using. The larger filter coupled with not being in the path of tire dust/gravel, makes it almost always completely clean.

I agree with Dig,

It made a slight increase, but when I installed the back sliding glass, to me, noise went away ~~~~

If you regularly load material in the bed with a tractor you might want to think twice about adding the air cleaner kit.I have to load my bed at an angle since my bucketwidth is fairly big. It would be right in the way for me. If you don't use your RTV for this purpose then I'd so go for it. It's an option that everybody seems to like.

I'm trying to figure another route for my purposes.

Two guns, Did you buy the rear window, or make it? Can I see a picture of it? Thanks.

doggman, I will be using it to haul loads from my tractor bucket, but am wondering if you have to take special caution when loading it from the other side? Thanks guys.

I can't remember who posted that they liked the little extra noise from the high rise kit ( sorry). I think that I would like it too! The only problem, is the Mrs. wouldn't like it very much. I got to keep her happy as well.
