RTV Home at last

Just backed in the driveway with the new addition to the family. My very understanding wife even changed plans so that we might both get some play time on the new ride. My son and I are taking it over to the farm to do some fishing after lunch. Thanks again to all of you for thehelpful advice. Specs: Rec version, ATV tires, glass windshield, black plastic top, bedliner and winch bracket for the winch I never mounted on my old four wheeler. I spent alot of time thinking about this purchase but in the end I could not be happier with my decision to pick Kubota over the other builders. I post some pics after I spend some time enjoying the ride.

[H] Congratulations "griffman" on your decision and purchase. I don't think you'll regret it. Even if you don't catch some fish, I know you'll enjoy the ride!

Go Ahead Big Man !!!!

Proud for you !!! Glad you picked the Kubota, you will never regret it. You can tell your wife, there was statement made from a wise 'ole man one time >>> THERE ARE TWO THINGS IN LIFE THAT STANDS BESIDEAMAN, A GOOD WOMAN, & A KUBOTA RTV ********* Sounds like you have 'em both !!!!

Welcome to the New World **********

You Da' Man !!!!!! Let me GUESS ??? You got it 7 hrs ago................................................................................. and the hour meter now reads..... 7...!! ......Just a guess!!! You are from what part of Md. I'm on the Eastern Shore...outside of Easton. Congratts........ Life's journey is a whole loteasier on a RTV. Frank

Frank,

I am in the Centreville area. Thanks for the congrats. Not quite 7 hrs yet, but the wife sure enjoyed breaking brush around the farm with it the other night. I don't even think I'll need the the 4 wheel drive. This thing is a beast.

Congrats on your new toy (er, I mean "tool") griffman.

Out of curiosity, what kind/size winch are you putting on it?

Two Guns Centreville is in Md. About 15 miles from me. Griffman, Well, I guess that makes us neighbors..... There goes your Property Value.!!! I'm in Cordova, on Trappers Corner Rd. Lets stay in touch. P.S. Atlantic Tractor is delivering mine latter this afternoon. Frank.

The MONSTER has arrived!!! Pictures will be posted tommorrow, technical glitch . Now I am an official RTV owner. Also found out that another member, Griffman is my neighbor [ 15 miles] !! And as it turns out we both used the same Co. and Salesmen, Bill.Spencer.. Just after unloading it I pulled it bumper to bumper with my J. Deere diesel trail gator.....night and day difference. TheRTV 1100 looks likeit's on steroids.ie. Monster.... The picture will make you laugh!!It's the RTV 1100-CW-H model. I've only had 3 hrs. with it so I'mcan't say to much yet BUT it does SURPASS my expectations. The only problem I thought I had was the a/c only cold the Cab down to 38 Degrees. But after I closed the door it went to Zero degrees. Just Kidding !!! I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the info you all have provided Frank

I believe it is a Warn 2500. It was supposed to go on a Honda Rubicon. Might be a little light weight but I'll have to wait and see what I get into.

Happy for you my friend ! Can't wait to see the pics. It's a great feeling, YEA !!! Frank, looks like you and Griffman was lucky to have 'ole Bill Spencer around, looks like he done the good deed thing.

Here I am down here in Louisiana, burning smooth up !!!! And ya'll out there running around in a new RTV with the air going. Heck, turn it off >>>> I need one !!!! I know you are one happy man, and my hat goes off to you .....

Word of advise: Might think about chaining up the RTV tonight, might just eat upthat gator before dawn !!!!!!!!!!!!

A warn 2500 will work just fine ....... Get you a snatch block, double your line, double your power !!!! I keep a block on my Rubicons and the Kubota units at all times. Never know when you may need that xtra bump >>>>>>

Gongrats on getting your RTV Frank!!!!

Phew, you had me worried there with the A/C. Glad it was just the door not being closed all the way. Did you have any issues with snow build-up inside the cab when you took it down to zero?

The Warn 2500 is a fine winch but "may" be a little light. It depends on what your needs are for it. As Jamie mentioned, having a snatch block handy is probably a good idea until you get used to it all.

First impressions of RTV 1100 after 9 hrs.The Cab quality is 1st class and air tight. Blocks most of the engine noise. Conversations are at normal tone. All controls are positionfor ease of use. The dash lay-out is like you would find in a quality p/u. The RTV Cab doesNOT give you that tipp over pucker feeling. I drive a B3030 Cab, so the Cab was not intimadating. If you drive a 1100 and feel strange about being in a Cab, that feeling willfade after only a few hrs. The Cab does at first make you feel like the RTV isgoing to hit everytree or rock even close to you. I spent 2 hours putting the RTV into every tight spot I put the 6x4 trail gator into. I was totally surprised how well the hyd. steering allowed the RTV to easily manuver in and out of tight spots. Even being that the RTV is longer, and wider than the gator. The realconcern I had wascrossingmy creeks with Work Site tires. The depthwas 4" with a sandy/stone bottom and 40' long. The RTV did it in 2wd. engine compartment stayed completely dry! The RTV weight didn'teven play into the game. My B3030 is HST so adapting to the RVT transmissionand quickthrottle releasewas easy. Shifting from low....medium.....high.....to reverse was simple . Never needed to pull the pressure release lever. I've read many post about this being of concern, seems Kubota has address and corrected it. Shifting to 4wd,was easy, however going back into 2wd. required small left to right movements of the power steering, than it shifted easily The temperture here is 92, and very humid the Cab a/c runs on position 2 out of 4 positions. The Cab has a factory over head light.Appears Kubota has been listening and has addressed our concerns. Still breaking it in gently, so I can't state top speed... however it did climb to 20 mph at 1/2 throttle easily. Definately needs the reposition high air flow kit. Pictures will follow this evening. I don't normally call people IDIOTS, however any one choosing a gator over this RTV will be exempted. Thanks for all the advise you all have shared. Frank P.S. it really doesn't have power windows or moon roof. However the front and side air bags are a nice feature.

I don't have an 1100 but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night...

I believe you'll find the worksite tires will work nicely in just about everything but mucky clay which cakes the tires over and then they're like slicks.

A friend of mine just picked up an 1100 and said it does max out at exactly 25mph.

Waiting for pictures... You still owe us some with the Gator as well. Did you have that tug-of-war yet?

Sounds like the tooth-fairy has been good to you. Glad everything is working your way. If I would have just waited a few more months, I would have the air in a 1100 also, but Kubota has not released the 1100 until a few months after I got the 900 series. But, I can smell a second RTV and coming soon. And I bet you the farm, it will be the 1100 with air. For it is hitting over 100 degrees here now, and it is just about to fry me in anything I do. Please don't get me wrong, I wouldn't take nothing for my RTV / airless ~~~ But I test fired one when our dealer recieved thier first . And boy, that air is some nice. Are you planning on getting the High Position Air Intake Kit V4276 for your unit. It will be a big plus for you !!!! We will be waiting for the pics, and would love to see the one dwarfing out the gator. For I would love to print out a color photo and put it in my shop for a few of my customers that think gators are great. Like a gentleman that used to own a gator, and dump it and purchased a RTV, he saidJ.D. should have calledthem a sick lizards[*-)] !!!!
