I am shopping for an RTV 900 to use for hauling firewood and maintaining bluff roads in southeastern MN. Some of the roads going from the valley to the ridge are pretty steep so I'm wondering if I should swap the standard worksite tires for a tire with more aggessive grip in snow and steep roads. </P>

That was part of the dealing I made with my dealer BEFORE we purchased our RTV. I made him swap out the tires to the aggressive tires like is on the camo models. ( At no Cost). Put me a metal roof top on the unit, when it came time, change the fluids out in the transmission & engine, maintance etc when the first 50 hours showed up on it, at no cost. All that for $ 9,500.00 flat !!! But yes, I would swap out the tires, the aggressive tires that he put on it does super !!!</P>
 
50 hour maintenance deal is a great idea! What model did you buy and what brand tires did they put on? How far away is your dealer? Mine is about 30 miles and will deliver a worksite for $11,000. Since I havea farm I don't have to worry about sales tax which really helps.</P>

The Kubota ATV tires have gotten pretty good marks. The cost to swap them for the worksite tires should be very little, if anything at all.
 
Purchased the Worksite Model, and he swapped out the tires that was on it for theKubota ATV's like on theCamo Recreation Model at no cost.Also pitched in asteel hard top ~~~ Use mine on the Plantations, and like you, got the farm tax break. That's a chunk saved right there alone ... Kubota dealer is 52 miles from the farm, and delivered free..There is another dealer about 11 miles the other way, but couldn't do no dealing with them. Wanted WAY to much for thier equipment. Would not even budge on the list price. Sincethe purchase in Febuary, purchased a Glass Windshield, Installed for $550.00 no tax, and a <FONT size=2>V4271 High Mount Cleaner ROPS Kit</FONT>delivered to shop for $166.00 no tax. In the middle of installing a Golight Stryker Remote Control Searchlight, which is going to be a big,big, plus on the plantation ......</P>
