I am fast approaching the 50hr service on my 1100c. I don't have an owners manual so i will ask here. do i just replace the filters and top off with super udt?

change engine oil?

This is the most important change there is. You want to drain the trans and engine, preferably while they are warm. Clean the magnetic drain plugs real well also. It is going to cost some $ but this gets rid of any manufacturing crap in the engine and trans. Be careful to put the right filters in the right locations. A good diesel oil like Rotella will do for the engine. SUDT2 for the trans. Have a good pair of filter pliers since they like to make them tight as crap at the factory. Good luck.

Muleman is right on. Kubota has a rebate promotion right now on fluids and filters too. I just ordered 5 g of sudt2 and a filter kit for my 900. I shopped around got a good price like 104 for the 5 g and 75 for filter kit - 24 shipping, no tax.. and getting 20 rebate. :) collie

this is a Messick eqpt link to servicing the RTV 900. http://www.messicks.com/blog/category/Kubota-RTV-Series.aspx scroll down. I know you have an 1100... they may have one on that also... you can fill out there model form and have all sorts of parts diagrams emailed super fast to you. :)

Thanks muleman,Thanks Bordercollie! any idea of what viscosity engine oil is recommended ? should i use Kubota engine oil?

Aurthuritis, I use only Kubota sudt2 in my transmission.. but have always used 15w40 John Deere plus in my engine.. I would use Rotella, ( my Daddy liked it) :) but the JD is already here on the farm and we use it in all of our green tractors . This works for me but you may wish to get more feedback from others... The 2005 RTV 900, I sold in 2011 when I bought my 2011 RTV 900, had over 4200 hrs on it and no blow by at all.. I faithfully changed my oil and used the 15w40 in it also.. A high quality oil is important for sure.. collie

Hey Bordercollie, I am like your dad. Really like the rotella 15-40. Run that stuff in lots of equipment and trucks around here. Would also like to see a pic of that big green tractor that I could see the front wheels of in a previous post of yours talking about pressing u joints. :thankyou2:

Sure Thunderdome :) I will take some pictures and start a new thread.. with the RTV in front of the green stuff. :)
