Rusty screws on spark arrester

Cut it off if you have no worries of starting fires with it. If you plan to ride on government land, I'd highly recommend just cleaning it.

Since I sometimes ride on government land and don't want to start fires, I'll just clean mine.

After you cleaned the arrestor, does it have supports on it (yellow markings).
IF so, and you want to remove screen. I would just "punch out" (RED area )
or cut the screen and leave the supports.
Hope it make sense what I am trying to say. Don't cut the support away. Just the screen....

Does the other end of the screen push agains anything for support. Our RTV's didn't have it. We just had a pissy screen on the end of the tailpipe held by one
little screw thingy.....

Like another member stated before. If you plan on running on government land. Just clean.

......... two guns

I agree with Mr. Mister and of course his person, Two Guns. :tiphat: The red area in Two Guns handy illustration can be "accidentally" cut in a slash on each side with a hand grinder and disc like mine was. I love my grinder ! Be sure to leave the support area though because without that length, vibration can do damage.. see my pictures below. It really needs the counter balance of the length there for that reason. Now no more cleaning.. I use my RTV on private land only. collie .
edit p.s. that Mr. Mister is one smart cookie Two Guns ! (comment by collie's bird)
