Just received April Outdoor Life ( yep, it's late again ) , and on the first page was a ad for the new Kawasaki Teryx Recreation Vehicle. Has anybody seen or test fired them yet ?

I have never seen one before, might be new on the market, I don't know >>>> but, went to the Kawasaki website and watched the video of this little machine. Don't know how strong this thing is, but by the video, that thing is sport / recreation vehicle vehicle for sure. Boogying all over that sand .

Also showed them unloading the vehicle out of a full-size pick-up truck. Something that I see many companies are adding to their line of utility / sport vehicles. Honda's Big Red, Kubota's RTV 500, and some others are going a little smaller for the men who don't want to drag a trailer, or don't want the additional purchase of one .

I'm not knocking the vehicle at all, but I bet, this unit would be good for the sporty / playing person., but don't think it would be much use for the working man.

Re: RUV

i guess they are like the rhino my 700fi i think would pull a trailer pretty good but i wouldn't go loading the bed down with anything. it's funny i go to the dump with my hpx and load it up and then take my rhino for a ride and see the diference in the two my hpx bed is like twice the size of the rhino's bed and it hauls 4 times as much but man if you take that hpx out riding and then jump on the rhino it's like going from a 1 ton flat bed truck to a town car the ride is so smooth. plus the rhino has "true 4 wheel drive" just messin with ya two guns that true 4 wheel drive don't mean nuthin to me .lol oh the rhino and tyrex are made out of alot of plastic too and the hpx and rtv well we know what they made out of . .my buddy already split his skid plate in half he wants me to make him one when i do mine.

Re: RUV

yea you behind a little .lol it's new to the 08. lineup for the kawasaki utv's it's suppose to be very nice and fast too. not to mention with the v twin it's suppose to have some awesome power too. i wish i could beaf up thetwin cylinderon the hpx 617cc and only 20hp???? somethings wrong there when you got the polaris with a 499cc single cylnder pumping out almost if not 40hp.

Re: RUV

I'm really a power nut. Speed don't interest me. I'll just keep walking my pet turtle with the Kubota...... Also, took my GPS and tested the RTV with the OEM atv tires on it, running on hard ground. Went a total of 24-25 MPH....... That is smokin' to me !!!! Anyway, tested it with the 27" 589's on it back in October, and if I'm not mistaken, it ran about two and three MPH faster. But that was streatching that thing out !!!!

I will say this, there is a young man down the road, who has one of them Razor side-by-side units, my God, he flys in that thing, or should I say, he did fly, he ran it off into some river water horse-playing around, and like to lost this machine. The machine died, and the boys had to wade out. Their father was some upset, ( don't blame him at all )... To the shop it had to go, at least that where I thought they said they where going with it, the way that man took it , he just might of sold that thing. They had no business running on the edge of that swift water... They were just lucky !!!!

Re: RUV

my kubota dealer is also a kawasaki dealer,so when i was by there this weekto pick up my rear screen,he asked me to drive one because he knew that i have owned a couple of rhinos. it is very close to a rhino, the power and handling and even the engine sound was the same as the rhino. the hood seemed shorter with a more downward slope. the dash and console looked a little better. under the bed the heat shield was steel instead of aluminum.the only downside that i saw is that it was not fuel injected.on another note. he told me kawasaki was coming out with next generation of mules the 4000 series to replace the 3010
