Seat belts do work!!!

I live in eastern Kentucky and have been riding my RTV900 for about two years without incident. I am having some dozer work done on my property and was following behind the dozer operator when I went unlevel and tipped over. I had my seat belt on and did not receive any injury. My foot did get stuck between the roll bar and the ground and I had to dig under it to get free. After getting beat up by my wife we got the 900 upright and all was fine. No damage to the RTV, although I am grounded for life.

Great that you have no injury, great that you had the belt on !!!!!

Happy there was no damage to the RTV. >>>>> Sorry 'bout the ass whoopin' !!!!!

..... two guns

Thanks for the story. I rarely wear my seatbelt, but your experience suggests I should reconsider... Glad you and the RTV are OK. You didn't say if you were alone in the RTV. If the Mrs. was with you, easy to understand why she was moved to give you a beatin'. Hope you can kiss and make up!

Has anyone installed a center seat belt - when my grandboys come I would like to take both when we go hunting prairie poodles. I really don't like to put them in the passenger belt together! jerry

I did (installed a center belt). If I recall correctly, it was from a Toyota Corolla. It's been awhile (several years) but recalled that you need to get a belt from a rear, center seat (so it doesn't have a shoulder belt).

It was a few bucks on e-bay but I'm sure any local junkyards will have them.

i'll check the minni van seat i have sittin in my shed it's even grey too it has them fold down car seats in it it still has the seat bealts on it i'll take them off if you want them you can have them.

I was out bush hogging the other day and as soon as I turned to start on the downgrade of the lane I stopped and put my belt on. The ROPS is your friend IF you wear your belt if not it will cut you in half if you end up under it. I wear mine in the RTV anytime I am not on level ground.

Tommy Appreciate the offer - I have a relative that has a wrecking yard and I can get whatever I need from him. Thanks again

My question on the center seat belt is where would one anchor the belt ends?

Right where the existing belts connect (on the inward side). Loosen the nut, add belt and re-install the nut.
