Shifting on 1100

anyone have shifting problems with 2013 1100's? Just bought mine and it is a little tough sometimes (not always) to get into reverse - Kubota book says dont force it - says set parking brake and push slightly on gas and it will shift in. I tried that and it does work but shouldn't have to do that on a new unit should I?

I don't have a new 1100 but on my old 900 it was tight when new and I had to use the emergency brake frequently when the RTV was on uneven ground. After awhile it loosened up and shifts much nicer.

Mine's not a '13 but it's the same way. I assume yours has the little black knob thingy that you can pull out? Sometimes it's your best friend.

I don't think the new ones have the black knob. I think you just have to depress the brake if I remember correctly.
