So maybe you need yet another trailer. I have seen some with really wide flotation tires on them. </P>

Oh boy... I'm going to have to pass. I already have 8 or 9 trailers + one in parts I need to assemble.
The ones with floation tires and tandem axle are already in use for bringing wood from the shed to the house. That leaves the other 4x8', 5x6'... size single or tandem axle for other things. Unfortunately, they're all running 4.80 or 5.70 tires on them. Even with tandem axle, they still cut instead of float. I have some small tractor tires that are probably 9" that I should put on one of these for this time of year. I'll put it on the "to do" list for the weekend.

Sorry. Can't help there. I'm on a steep hill and skidding is a no-no since they roll donwhill off the trail.
If you kept the nose of the log from digging, I wouldn't see the RTV having an issue with it. OK, maybe it won't like a 24", 25' long oak but I honestly don't know.
