Anyone know how well messics is for phone help and trouble shooting questions???are they willing to help or do they give you the Ol MIchigan run around???

They have always been very helpful and courteous with me when I've needed parts. I have never tried to trouble shoot a problem with them though. Much better than the local parts guys.

Twice now, I have gotten heavy duty CUSTOMER SERVICE in the good old fashioned way from Messicks. The latest example is on my B7610 tractor.
I was not happy with how much my FEL could lift. On Kubota tractors the fix for that is to add a shim, round washer, inside the pressure relief valve. OK, easy it would seem. Pictures posted on several forums and from Bextended, a supplier who markets a kit for this problem, showed the valve in a specific location.
OK, followed their instructions to the letter to get to the valve; but no valve there. Removed the rear tire and supposed to be on the side of the hydro pump...........Scratched and scratched my head, posted over on the other tractor forum......no answer.........Called the "parts line" at Messicks as I had their great parts diagrams for the B7610 and these showed different valves and locations.....A fella at the parts line advised that yes, this was correct, verified the parts numbers and locations and put up with my many questions with calm good answers...........Then, I asked if I could talk with a TECHNICIAN that would be familiar......he said"sure, let me give you Art"....

I got Art and after a long technical discussion with him, he helped me point out the exact location and what to do. He gave me his PERSONAL PHONE number. Double checked the PSI I should have, and as I went down to the barn to actually eye-ball the valve, he walked me through it............wah freaking lah....it worked........

So, personal service from Messicks?????.........Don't know what it means to you; but it is why folks praise them and perhaps why they are so successful as a dealer.....God bless.......Dennis

Well her is my take on them now.
Ive dealt with many other places through my life on many things.I have never dealt with messics but have heard good reviews about them so I decided to give them a call.
I spoke with Scott Flowers and I have never dealt with anyone who was so helpful and went so far out of the way to get me the info I needed for my david brown 990.He even went as far to provide me numbers and places to get the badly needed snap ring i neededfor the 990 power steering pump.Evidently the previous owner tried to rebuild it and forgot to put a snap ring back in that holds the shaft seal in place.Part ordered so hopefully it will be good to go soon.To sum it up Messics is probably the BEST place ive ever dealt with and from now on all of my david brown and rtv parts will come from messics period. They were awsome and great to deal with.So if you have never dealt with them I highly recommend them for any of tour parts needs.I can not say enough good things about Larry and messics. Now I see why so many of you deal with them..Thanks again for listening to me and all of the help we all provide each other here. Its still one of the best forums around!
God Bless and have a great day!!!!!

Mark, over on the Yesterdays Tractors web site, on the Case and David Brown forum somebody just started a thread about buying a couple of 990s. Said he is probably going to part one out and asked if anybody needs any parts? I thought of you when I saw the thread, didn't know if there is anything you need but you may want to check it out.
Bryce
