Yeah of shoveling [:D]

Hammerhead,,,

I didn't even shovel my steps today.........Too much ICE underneath the snow on steps....If I put down salt it will eat the cement and the brick casework will fall out........If I use cat litter, everyone carries it into the house..........Snow one day and then melt....That night everything freezes and then more snow........What a winter..........Plowed the driveway this morning at 9:00 and then at 11:00 we got a downfall that lasted for 5 minutes but gave us two more inches of snow..........The best thing I know to do is go up higher into the mountains and stay at the Hunting Camp for a couple weeks........Maybe I will take Two Guns and let him chop firewood for the stove....[:D] I wonder what Two Guns would think of the Outhouse at Zero degrees.......And hauling water from the spring to drink and wash dishes............LMAO..........

That's 46-0-0 fertilizer. The nitrogen melts the ice but it's fertilizer when it melts. It doesn't hurt concrete and helps the yard. It melts before you can drag it into the house. I buy it in 50# bags (by the ton) and save some for the winter.

Wait a minute you guys! If Two Guns is going to shovel snow for Hammerhead and cut firewood for Rusty, He will be to tired to throw hay to my horses!

Keep it coming, it's going to take more than that to burn me out !!!!! [:D] Just keep the coffee HOT >>>>>>

The shoveling was not for me.. it was if he tried to take his RTV into the woods in all my snow..Theres enough snow he won't be able to go far enough toget stuck too bad.. so heshould have pleny of energy left to move some hay...[:)]

I think Two Guns better just sit at camp and drink BEER..................Shoveling mud is nothing compared to shoveling wet snow..........LMAO..........[:)]

Huh? I don't shovel my own snow. That's that the loader and 6' blade on the tractor are for... If the tractor can't reach it, that's what kids are for. [:|]
Keep it coming, it's going to take more than that to burn me out !!!!!
Ummm, when was the last time you shoveled snow and split wood? I don't think they're talking shoveling a patio and cutting enough firewood for a day. Coffee or not, you're going to get burnt out...

Nice beer goggles!

Never shoveld snow, but it can not be no worst than shoveling the tracks out of some of these dozers down here packed with that gumbo mud. That will make a man out of anyone !!!!! Splitting firewood, oh yes, good excercise, I help my friends do itall the time .... !!! Just takes me a little longer than it used to ~~ And the beer goggles, well, now days, just wear them, no beer involved !!! But I can remember the days I could " FOG " 'em up !!!! He - He - He ~~~~ [:O]

*** Makes my wife so damn mad when I drag them things out, do it just to see her get twisted>>> [:D] She knows I'm up to something serious when they get installed on the old noggin >>>

The difference is that with snow, you've got a bit more to move.

We'll, seen some snow flakes this morning down here in Louisiana, for about five minutes >>>>>> does that count ?

Heck, Mr. Biglane and myself was riding yesterday in his RTV, and seen about five minutes of sleet and snow coming across the rice patties..... Don't know what this place is coming to, two days in a row ***************** [*-)]

Jamie,

If you want snow, well we got enough in the last two day to cover your whole state to a depth of one foot. I plowed snow for 3 hours this morning. I still have about three more hours of it tomorrow.

Deerlope, How much area did you plow in that 2 1/2 hours? I know you were plowing at least 6 to 12" (maybe more, depending on if you plowed on Saturday). You have the tracks, so have more traction than an RTV w/wheels. But here's my question....

I woke up to an average of 7" in the driveway (more or less depending on the drifts) with 12 to 14" of the heavy stuff by the road where the road plows throw the messy stuff. In your opinion, does the RTV have enough grunt to push through 14" of the heavy stuff?? Any special techniques you use to move a lot of snow? I'm considering either the 1100 or 900 with a Blizzard 680 LT plow.

Doug (also in St. Lawrence Cty, NY)

I have a 38HP Kubota tractor that I plow with. I have a 7-1/2' Fisher power angle attacted to the loader. I also have Valby ice chains on the rears.I plow 800' of driveway. But I also spent time pushing the banks back in prep for the next storm. I know nothing of how an RTV would plow snow.
