Snow Plow Kubota RTV 1100 C

I am looking for a used power angling snow plow for a 2016 RTV 1100 C I also have a power angling plow in very good condition to fit a 2012 John Deere 825 I which I sold to get the Kubota. Hopefully I have the correct place on this forum to post this as I just joined. I have thought about retrofitting the JD to fit the Kubota but would rather buy a plow that is made for the Kubota. Jim. I'm located in Elverson PA

If you can find a used BOSS V-Plow that would be the perfect. I've had two RTV's (X900 and now X1100C) and the BOSS plow works extremely well. I'm in New Hampshire and I plow almost 2 miles of hilly dirt roads and I've never had a problem keeping the road open. I have a F-350 with a 9 foot plow and I almost always plow with the Kubota! The frame attachment for the BOSS on a Kubota is robust and the hydraulics work incredibly well. Two minutes to put it on and one to take it off! Good luck.

I don't know if it's possible to hook up a plow that is not made for the Kubota x1100c. Unless you are a mechanical engineer it will be hard to figure out how to mount a different make of plow.

Kubota makes its owner mounting system called the K connect system, it is made for melting snow blowers brush and plows. Is a very complex piece of engineering and it is very expensive. And some people have problems with the unit, I myself have never had a problem with my snow blower or the K connect. It is all hydraulics any mechanical drive shaft for the snowblower. All the controls for the unit is inside the vehicle on about a 5-ft cord with push button controls. And then you would have to buy a plow especially for this application. My guess is installed would cost you about $11,000. There's a couple of pics of the unit.
You also lose some ground clearance as you can see pic with the red arrow. You cannot take the unit off and on because it is very complicated setup.

I could be wrong and they could be something else you could use for a plow attachment but not that I know of. Hope this helps.

Disregard what I was talking about as I did some more research looks like the newer setup for the plows is not as elaborate as the snowblower K connect

Thanks for the info. A couple of questions. Did you have an adapter fabricated to go from a Boss plow to the Kubota? I would assume that would be necessary. I have a fab shop that could do this but I have to weigh the price between just having a new Kubota plow installed at around $4500 from a dealer or adapting my JD Gator plow using a fabrication shop. What is the boss plow width? How did you connect it and does it have its own electric over hydraulic pump for lifting and angling. I think as I get more involved it would be better to sell the used Gator plow and just put a new Kubota on. I appreciate the response. Jim 610 547 3586

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what to do but I know one thing for sure........If I put a plow on it WILL NOT snow..!!!!!

I have the snowblower and it works really well other people have been having problems with it, I believe that's because of the install you have to have all the components lined up. And also when you left the snowblower all the way up it stresses out the U-joints unless you shut the snow blower off with which is just the turn of a switch. I always turn it off when I'm backing up or raise it up just about four inches and everything's been fine for me.

I had the Boss vee plow on my RTV-X1100C. It is 6 and a half feet wide and I believe the total weight was just over 400 pounds. And yes has it's own electric over hydraulic power pack, same as the pickup truck plows. Also same as the Kubota K-Connect.
I loved the Boss plow. worked good, easy on and off and no loss of ground clearance.
But my wife found it easier in our heavy snow area to use a snow blower. So I switched to the K-Connect blower. Now I don't use my RTV to trail ride any more because of the loss of ground clearance and that very expensive driveline under there.
Having a blower on the RTV is the most awesome snow removal machine ever, but really sucks I can't off road with it now with my air conditioning, LOL
I'm in Canada so my prices are way different, but the Boss was $5300 installed and the K-Connect and blower was $20,000.

Hey Westfield, do you find you still get some vibration and vibration related rattles from the K-Connect when it is down on the ground, or even with the blower removed. Or did my dealer just do a crappy job lining everything up?
I am going to bring it back in before this winter to have them look at it, because my PTO light on the dash never did work since they installed it. So I'll get it all checked while it's still under warranty.
I just find it's noisy running now compared to before. And slightly less power driving up hills.
