Snowblower for my x1100 , looking for input

I am trying to decide if I should add a snowblower to my x1100 . I live in south dakota so I'm sure I will find a use for it .

I'm looking for fresh input from those who have a blower on their machine .

I have a 50' x 150' driveway that will often have drifts that will measure 4' tall

In past years a blade will get it done , but now I'm losing access to a field where I. Pushed it to .

Is this blower really a commercial quality option ?
Will it hold up to years of service , with proper maintenance ?

Thanks in advance .

Well, all I can say is there are a lot of commercial plowing contractors around here that have RTV1100's with blowers and sanders in the box.

I just went with a Boss vee plow for mine because I already have a loader tractor with a rear blower and the K-Connect and blower for an RTV make it a $50,000 machine where I am in Canada.

This was at my dealer.

At the end of 2019 I purchased a brand new 1100 C with the snow blower and K Connect for $29,000 and some odd cents. The snow blower is a beast it is built very heavy duty. I snow blow a 600 ft driveway, all the trails in my yard and I've never had so much fun clearing snow. Best investment I ever made! I built a cart with casters to put the snow blower on when not in use, it is so much easier to connect with the cart I made.

I forgot to mention the snow blower works really well on concrete or Blacktop, also works well on grassy roads. but if you have a gravel driveway I would not recommend it.

Doesn't that blower have skid shoes? I have a gravel drive and I always start the winter with my shoes in the middle position, then when I get a base I move them all the way up.

I'm wondering about 4' wind driven snow drifts . I know the first pass is the hardest , partial cuts after first pass .
Can I raise the blower up when moving the drifts ?

Yes it has heavy-duty shoes, but if you get some gravel in there you will probably shear the pins.

I have the turf tires on my machine and I don't think you will have any problem pushing through a four foot drifts. Yes the snowblower can be raised when snow blowing, but you don't want to raise it up too much because there is a couple of U-joints let's start making some noise when it gets up to high. There is also a float mode which follows the Contour of whatever your snow blowing.
There are also plenty of videos of people snow blowing their driveways and they have some going through some pretty deep snow.
Just make sure this the snowblower is right for your job because the snow blower and the K- connect is not cheap.

Ok Westfield....those are identical to the Kubota (RAD) blower I have for my B2620. So far I haven't had an issue though it is gouged up pretty good between the housing and the fan, LOL

Well ,, I took my rtv in to the dealer to have the snowblower installed . I was concerned about ground clearance for when I use the machine without the blower attached . I asked about the orange aftermarket 2" lift . The tech that is working on my machine has installed several snowblowers . He said that the lift kit would be a good idea . With my
27x11x12 blackwater evolutions on I'm hoping I can still get in it without using a ladder... the tech said , no problem as the blower will squat the front end . I hope that when it is removed I can still get in the cab without a ladder , or a step , just kidding . I'm really looking forward to getting machine back . Will post some pictures when I get it home . Thanks for the input , it was helpful making my decision . 12,000 is a large amount of money for this old guy , but Im pretty sure it will give me years of service .

Awesome. Can't wait to see it.

I saw those lift kits in my Orange Aftermarket brochure. Wasn't that expensive either.

Wonder what kind of increase in top speed you can get by using that with larger diameter wheels?
The RTV would be PERFECT if it could do 30 MPH.

On flat ground my speedo tops out between 22-24 mph . With a gps app on my phone it says between 26-28 mph .

Almost done with install . In the side view look closely behind blower spout , they have a convex mirror attached . Probably to help lining up blower when hooking up . 2" lift kit installed . The blower is lifted up in pictures and not as much sag in front end as I thought there would be .

Looks good! That mirror the front is good for nothing!
When I saw the brush that they make for these machines it has wheels on it. Very easy to install when you can just push it up to the machine where you want it. That's when the light bulb went off and I built a cart I know I've said this before and showed pictures of this but I highly recommend building one of these it makes it so much easier. There is some engineering involved has to be made out of hardwood and very low to the ground. If you look closely where the wheel attaches you could see it's made out of two pieces that is what gives it its strength without a gusset.
In the summer it stays on the cart and I can move it around wherever I want very easily.
