Has anyone else noticed that some of the posts from today are disappearing? They seam to be going away for some reason (including the one that discussed the new site software this morning.

I'm sorry, that was my doing. This afternoon we moved to a new database server which should be much faster than the old one. During that transition there was a few hours of posts that where lost. My bad, the nasty parts of this upgarde are all finished now.

Few more questions for you.

Do you know the version of internet explorer your using? (often found by going to help, then about internet explorer).

Do you know your screen resolution? Found by going to the desktop, right clicking on an open area and clicking properties, then going to the settings tab.

I suspectyour problems are caused by an older browser that can't render some of the more complexcode thats used for the quick reply button. I'm using it to write this now [:)]

Neil,

Just got back from outside......We had a snowstorm last night............

My internet explorer is 6.0........

My screen resolution is 800 x 600..............

I am running microsoft millenium..............

Sorry for all the trouble......................Rusty Anvil,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
My screen resolution is 800 x 600..............
Can you set that larger? Others found that you need to scroll left/right to see the entire page at the 800x600 setting.

The quick reply doesn't work if you right-click then "open in new window".

I had the same problem with the window size. It will go away if you kick your resolution properties up to1024x768. However I encountered another problem with that as my text all shrank so small that me and the wife did not like it. my son says it is time to get out of the stone ages as all the new sites are wrtitten for that resolution. someday his eyes will be as old as mine. besides I grew up on DOS long before windows ever existed.
BCZOOM,,,

Thanks,,,,,,You always come through........It worked.......I raised the resolution to what you recommended.......

Now I am like Muleman,,,,,,,,I have to get my glasses to read the fine print and I even went and increased my print to the largest possible.......LOL......That is what happens when you get long in the tooth.........[:)]

Rusty Anvil,,,,,,,,,

Thanks guys [:)]

I try to accomidate for lower screen resolutios, but its a double edge sword. If you size things to fit 800x600 you leave huge empty amounts of space for someone like me to uses two 1600x1200 monitors. 1024x768 is kinda the defacto-standard anymore. As was said, trycracking up the text size on your PC. You alsocan do that by holding CTRL and rolling the wheel on your mouse (if you have one). As was said, quick reply does not work if you open in a new window... I'm a big fan of the new quick reply.

I'm not very familiar with Internet Explorer. I use the Firefox browser with a single 15" monitor and 1024x768 resolution. And when I increased its text size enough (Ctrl +) the capital letters in your post are almost 1/2" high.

Neil,

Since I went to the higher resolution even my quick reply works..

I don't care but when I click on the smiley, they only come up in a little box and they are not all there.......NO big thing just thought I would tell you.........

Rusty Anvil.......
