Special Edition

A new paint and wheel combination is available on the RTV 900. The body is silver, and the wheels are "retro" aluminum slots, just like you might have had on the hotrod as a kid in the 70's. Nice look, if a bit out of character for the normal use of this vehicle.</P>

Forgot to mention these also have a sprayed on bedliner. </P>
That's why Mrs. Two Guns & myself call the Special Edition , the " DISCO WAGON "
Sounds to me like you don't care for it. I haven't seen one in person yet but have heard they look pretty sharp. My dealer ordered a bunch so I'll hopefully see one soon. From what I recall, there's a few options bundled into it that makes the pricing attractive.

WRONG AGAIN !</P>

Mrs.Two Gun and myself love the RTV's, don't matter if they are hot pink. Just made the statement that they look like they should have been made in the disco days. That's All !!!</P>

YOUR RIGHT !!! They do have one heck of a package deal with them for the price.... Correct me if I am wrong. But at one time, thought they could only be special ordered by a certain period of time. And I recall, the time ending was about three months ago, give or take a month..... Now seems like they are shipping 'em out like regular inventory... But that's ok, Kubota know's what they are a doing. For they designed such a great machine as the RTV's ... Don't think Kubota could come out with anything that I would dislike ~~~~ Their level of engineering is very, very high !!!</P>

<P align=left>Part of the PR release:</P>

Kubota Tractor Corporation is offering a special edition model of its popular RTV900
utility vehicle. The RTV900 Special Edition, built from the popular Worksite Utility
RTV model, sports sleek silver paint and adds an impressive list of high-value standard
features usually offered only as optional equipment. The RTV900 Special Edition is a
limited-production model that will be available in the U.S. at most Kubota dealers while

Kubota’s RTV900 Special Edition comes standard with several factory-installed features
including: aluminum alloy wheels, plastic canopy top, speedometer, head rests, customdesigned
Kubota 35th anniversary branding decals. It also features the industry’s only
factory spray-on bed liner which helps to dampen noise and protects the cargo bed from
scratches, dents, and corrosion.
“The RTV900 Special Edition grabs your attention with its brilliant metallic silver paint
and diamond-cut alloy wheels, and offers tremendous value with its many standard
features, in one complete package price,” says Dan Muramoto, product manager for
Kubota. “This model is Kubota’s way of celebrating our 35th year in America, and we are
doing it in style.”

Kubota’s variable hydro-transmission (VHT) and a powerful and efficient 3-cylinder,
liquid-cooled 21.6 horsepower diesel engine that reaches top speeds of 25 mph. The
RTV900 also includes 4-wheel, wet disc brakes, heavy-duty cargo bed with hydraulic lift,
and hydrostatic power steering."</P>
<P align=left>We just got two of these, and they look great. If they sell as fast as the "normal" versions, they'll be gone by Christmas.</FONT></P>

My dealer has two of them. They look nice.. The wheels are sharp. The sprayed in bedliner looks real nice. If you are interested in the particular extras this one has anyways... it is cheaper than adding them to a regular model. </P>

While I guess I sort of want mine to look nice. it is a work machine for me and am currently not interested in paying for something like the wheels.[ but boy do they look nice] so it is an orange one for me. I am also often out working in the woods during hunting season... and being more visible is probably a good idea..</P>

Good thinking Glenn, one of the reason I purchased the orange was for safety reason, Being thatI do the deer management thing on 6632 acres onour farms & plantations, and hunt 'em heavyalso !!! Have camo everything, and I mean everything, thought it was a great time for Kubota Orange. To me, it's a beautiful color. And the hunting thing, don't really matterwhat color you get, for I have killed hundreds of deer with red Honda's for years. And killing 'em now is just as great with orange , so color don't matter on my end !!!</P>

The only reason I purchased the " pretty wheels " for my unit, was reason they were cheaper than the OEM wheel and tire set, for when you go to get new wheels, they only, or did when I whet to purchase, come in a set ( tire & rim ) , and didn't need more tires, so went the smartest way and purchased ITP wheels .... Was planning on swapping out the tires back to the atv tires that came with my machine, when warmer months comes in and don't need the more aggressive tires in the swamps & fields !!!!</P>

I was not knocking anyone's use of pretty wheels...regardless of how or why one has them. I am having a hard enough time justifying buying a new machine at all..so for me.. the special edition model is not for me. </P>

and yes I understand that for an extra set of wheels after market "pretty" ones are cheaper than oem.</P>

On some of my trucks.. put my snow tires on another set of rims.. so I can easily switch them myself. and often that is the case Pretty wheels are the cheapest you can find. </P>

<FONT face=Arial size=2> By no means, No offenses was taken !!!! [:D]</FONT></P>

<FONT face=Arial size=2>And the Special Edition, is not for us either !!! [:O]</FONT></P>

So Jamie,

What kind of shape are those red Honda's in? They must be tougher than my Suzuki's because if I killed even 10 with my Suzuki, I think the front end would be smashed in pretty bad... [:P]

How's the grill guard on the RTV holding up against those deer? It's got to be getting bent up by now, unless you hit them really slow. [;)]

O.K.,</P>

Let me say this right this time, I have killed many while riding on the Honda's. Using the Honda's to transport myself in & deer and myself out !!! Maybe that sounds better !!! Now we use the Kubota & Honda's >>></P>

And maybe in a couple of months, I can say " Honda's & Two Kubota's " Mrs. Two Guns isplanning onthe 1100 in Feb. or March >>>>>></P>

Did sound like some kinda " Road Warrior " or something, didn't it !!!! [:$]</P>

I just couldn't resist commenting. Just messing with 'ya.

I DID kill a deer with a Honda (Pilot) this fall. This wasa first inall my years of driving in rural areas. Never saw it coming as it jumped out of a grassy ditch. Luckily the deer was small, it's head hit the driver's front wheel, and our Honda dealer took care of the snapped out trim in 30 seconds and for free.</P>

The worst of it was trying to calm down my tearful girlfriend - it was her car. The other bad part was that that little 6 month old buck was going to be sooooo tender - but we were on our way to a dinner party at a neighbors farm so gutting it was out of the question. I rousted up the nearest farmer and he was glad to have the venison. </P>

Glad no equipment was tore up. Happy ya'll areO.K. , Girlfirend is now settled down !!! And the farmer still has a smile on his face ~~~~~~~~
I DID kill a deer with a Honda (Pilot) this fall.
I read that far and thought you were talking about the old go-cart/dune-buggy things that Honda made (called the Pilot). I was really confused (fix the trim, girlfriend...) until I saw the word "car".

OK, I haven't hit a deer in years myself (knock on wood), but the last one I hit was with a Honda Accord. I was really lucky since I was doing about 70mph. It jumped on the road right in front of me but for some reason, its front feet slid out from under it and it ended up on its belly about the time I hit it. A few bumps later and all I saw in the rear-view was sausage material coming flying out the back from under the car.

OK, what does all this have to do with the Special Edition? Oops, I opened this can of worms (and changed the subject). My bad.

So, anyone else see one of these SE RTV's?

Bczooom, </P>

I have to go by my dealer in the next few days to look over some newequipment, I'm going to see if he has any SE RTV's , or has he been gettin' any calls on them.... </P>
