Have any of you had the transmission apart?

I spoke to a service manager at kubota corp and he sent me the transmission disassembly section from the service manual and it says to take the engine and transmissionout as one unit. He also said to run it more without knowing where the bearing cage came from is risking more severe damage.

I would like to try to leave the engine and front case in place and pull the transmission case out the back. The service guy said he had seen it done that way but it was not the best way. Have any of you tried it?

Thanks

I got the parts, the parts manual, and the service manual from our host.

They were very helpful and gave me some insight into what to expect in the middle of the trans.

Best of all it is still running 25 hrs later!!
