Anyone here ever have a sticky accelerator pedal?Mine is hanging up when I put it to the floow and wont come back.I checked grease fittings and linkage all looks good.I wonder if I have Ice in the cable???

sounds like it. when i used to work on cranes that had a plethora of cables i had an apparatus i made from a section of hose to slip over the end of the cable then secure with a hose clamp. the other end had another clamp and a fitting with a schrader valve in it. i would fill the hose with antifreeze, clamp the end on and air it up with compressed air. the pressure would force the aintifreeze into the cable and out the other end. never needed to do it twice. the anti freeze would lubricate and prevent corrosion too. :tiphat:

Motorcycle shops sell a fitting that clamps onto a cable. Then you use an aerosol can of your favorite product to pump the cable full. Can't remember what that device is called.....

Ya I tried to fill it with WD 40 last night but may have to add more and force it through with the air compressor. Its in the garage now and still stuck to the floor.Ill grab the torpedo heater and point it under the machine to melt things and see what happens.Hasnt been much above 15 here and may have got some moisture in the cable from plowing.Ill have to trace down the cable and see if there is any cracks in the coating allowing the moisture in.I did check things indepentantly to make sure there was nothing major wrong. The trans linkage is on the trans and the hand throttle works ok but there is something making it stick when fully pressed to the floor.Seems things like this only happen when it is miserably cold and close to Christmas.Hence a home repair AC im broke.Kids are killing me with school costs and Christmas costs.Ill let you all know what I find out in the end if or when i get it repaired.Have a great Christmas Season if I dont get back before then.........

UPDATE:::::I took the big heater and threw it on the under side of the machine.I also took the heat gun and heated up the lionkage section where the grease fittings are and warmed up the grease and pumped new grease in it till it spilled over on both sides.I noticed some water or condensation came out also.I then strayed the whole linkage section down with brake cleaner to clean it up like new then I added a coating of lub to the whole section.Looks like it MAY be solved.I Plowed out the drive way in 8 degree temps and 30 mph winds and the only thing that froze was me.The Linkage seems to be OK now. Days like today I wish I bouught the Kubots with a cab but years ago I didnt think the cold would bother me and My MS so bad. Hopefully this fixes the issue. In the spring ill re look over everything including damage to my pasenger side fender from a log that kicked up and cracked the black skirting and see what the cost of repairs will be.Either way my deductable is 250 so depending on the cost of the skirt I may just cover the cost and not deal with the insurance. When I renew the insurance im going to see if I can get the deductable lowered and see how much xtra it is.Im insured through Kibota right now for the Machine..Have a great Merry Christmas and a Happy New year my friends....

Congrats. Glad you got her fixed.
and fyi ....cold bothers us all more as we get older. Don't ask me how I know. lol

I never ever thought I'd want a cab. Hell, I'm in southern Ohio. But last night I was out and about in 25 degrees, open cab. man that wind goes right thru ya. Brrrrrrr

I join Doc in being glad you got her fixed. I knew you would solve it ! Merry Christmas to you and your family too. :) judy

Mark and Doc yall may want to check if there are still some of those cabs up in Canaberrrr. The email address I have is "bberg @ benberg.com" . With the exchange rate the one I bought was less than 1K amurican over a year ago and that included shipping to Texas. They come with a stereo inside the roof.
