Woke up to an additional 6 inch over night snowfall.' RTV warming up its bum after pushing snow. Note the snow jammed up under front end. Maybe need some 'snow stoppers'. RTVs new buddy the B2650 got a workout too. Thought the snow clearing was over for this year.:pat:

Hello Kanook,Got the same amount down in Brockville this morning, snow has not left here since Nov. 30/13 ,had enough of winter!I would mow grass any day than plow snowwwww!Better days ahead Kanook.

12" here... def would rather cut grass! Went out on snow shoes with the wife today..... trout season opens on Tuesday. Just not right. Love your RTV's new buddy Kanook. We will be taking the boat from Sackets Harbor in NY through the Rideau this summer to Ottawa. Last year we went as far as Westport and will be adding an additional week for play this year.

sorry to hear it.Im so tired of snow already. As for snow stoppers lol i just put on a glove and remove the snow from that area before it turns into a block of ice so it wont tear up the fron cv joint boots.

Maybe when I was a kid on the farm back in the 50's there may have been a winter as long as this one ....MAYBE...I personally cannot recall this much snow still on the ground at this time of year..Our friends down on the east coast got pounded last week...BaiJiu and Spudster...you dug yourselves out yet???..

Our son has produced a miniscule quanty of maple syrup.

For us N.W. Georgia folks that burn wood...........YES this is the longest winter for burning EVER.........Been using a stove for close to 15 years now and have not only had a fire every day since early October; but gone through more wood than ever planned upon........Like close to 20 cords........God bless.......Dennis

Long winter for sure. Good looking setup there Kanook. What plow is that on your RTV?
And is that insulation formed for that type building you have or something you just threw on there?

We had over 4 inches of rain yesterday, might need to put paddles on to do anything off of the roadways.

The plow is a Blizzard brand that was originally white but I had it sand blasted and repainted orange. The building is metal and the insulation is sprayed on foam.

Thanks for the info. Is that sprayed on foam very expensive?

Expensive......Yes....as compared to fibreglass batts. Think in my case it was close to $1.00 sq/ft. Having said that,,the building being all metal, it would have been very difficult to insulate in a more tarditional manner..I calculate that my cost for the building still came in under a traditionally insulated stud and truss construction . The building is so airtight that I have not bothered to seal/weather strip around the 8 ft overhead garage door so that I can get enough fresh air infiltration to accomodate the wood stove. The insulation was sprayed by a licensed contractor and took them the better part of a day.
