Stock hydraulic line route for snow plow

Been a lurker for about a year now. Have a question for those with a stock Kubota snow plow for the RTV. I've got a 1100 and have married a JD 74 blade to the RTV (see picture, hopefully).

All I have to do is plumb the plow. How does Kubota run the hydraulic lines from the rear to the front. I have an idea, but am open to suggestions. I'm not a big fan of drilling extra holes in my RTV to run the lines.

Thanks for you help.

I would run hydraulic hoses following the frame rail to a junction box on the bumper. Equip it with two quick couplers for fast and easy connection. Wire ties will hold it firmly in place or there may be areas where clamps can be added without drilling holes. I have seen some with lift and power angle.

Agent Blue-the wire tie method was my initial plan along the frame rail. I didn't know if Kubota had metal hydraulic lines to the front for an OEM blade. The blade is a power lift and power angle.

My plow was installed by the dealer and had metal lines from the back to the front where they had rubber hoses to the quick connects on the front only.

I have a RTV1100 with the Curtis plow. Here is a picture of the back connections.

Sorry, I don't know why the picture got rotated. On the other side of the quick disconnect is the metal tube.

Nelly,
If I am reading this right the hard lines or tubes are actually from the control valve to the rear that comes standard on the RTV1100. The dump box is hooked up back there as you probably already know.

I have a curtis plow, hydraulic lift and swing, using long hoses that come from the back two quick couplers up along the left side, driver side, of frame , across engine, along passenger side, then under the seat area, to the center floor board. Remove center section of floor board, after removing you mat, and you will see the trench they run everything through.

Then we ran up the firewall, inside the cab to one of the vent holes in front of the passenger seat area. Then on the passenger side inside the hood, out to the front.

It's is not pretty but that is how they do it. The kit from the 900 was used and the update for the 1100 is two extensions to make the older kit fit. Probably have new kits now with just one piece hoses.

I have a electric solenoid valve in under the hood to control which cylinder gets pressure so the one lever does both up/down and left/right.

If you look for my name here you should find some pictures posted.

Let me know if I can help with more details.

SpudHauler,

Sounds like you setup is want I'm looking for. If I get some extra time I will look your post up, trying to get my corn and soybeans in the ground.

Thanks for your reply.

Spudhauler,

You have gave me some good ideas. Kinda nice to see all those pictures of various states of disassembly of the RTV.

Thanks for taking the time for your replies.
