Telescoping Lift Arms on my M4700DT

The original lift arms on my M4700 were standard…with the usual contortions needed whenever 3-pt implements were needed to be changed.

I’ve finally made things easier by finding out that Kubota sells a “telescoping lift arm kit” for an MX4800 which is a perfect replacement. Much easier to mack up to the implement and hitch-up ..when you can extend the lift-arm “ball-end” …to the implement …instead of having to deal with that small amount of movement of the tractor necessary otherwise.

The only thing in the kit which was not appropriate for the conversion….was I re-used my original telescoping stabilizers….as the ones in the kit would require modification to attach to the lower-axle. No problem for me…. I just have a set of telescoping stabilizers I don’t need.

The individual parts for this conversion would cost almost $2K. But the “kit” is priced around $350… well worth it in my book…( but I found a dealer who “fire sale” and used “whole goods” to me for a lot less. :p
