Think we A'skert 'em off????

I hate to say it , but the "locals" might be right :(. I still can not get the data I need to "fine tune" how I look at your area :pat: . There is a lot of energy and systems floating around. It is a matter of timing. The track yesterday looked "ok" for snow. The problem is over-riding warm air at mid levels scouring out the surface cold as the front moves through. This and the storm tracks have been the pattern recently :(. I will keep my mouth shut about next week for awhile. I need to do some serious snow dancin'. :letitsnow: Jay

These marginal/nuisance storms will be the death of me. It's no win... damned no matter what you do or don't do... with my clients. To make matters worse, I am covering for another plow guy this weekend as well. It's bad enough having to deal with my own clients in such marginal weather. It's three times as hard dealing with someone else's. :rolleyes:

Glad to hear you are better.:tiphat: I wish my Dad would realize this. He doesn't eat right and now is not getting out and staying busy. He just sits around and feels tired all day. He is 87 with a pinned hip and two knee replacements and a cracked tail bone. Yes, he has fallen a time or two.

My positive thoughts for you and yours :respect: . You mentionned "parents" in a previous post. How's Mom? Another question- how's your Dad's mood state? Depression is commonly overlooked when the "specialists" look at a senior individual. Trust me in the 15+ years I worked with the elderly population I rarely saw a senior individual with some medical decline challenges who was not depressed, but my perception is biased as to the populations with whom I was working. Jay

I got my outgoing "never depressed" well being (attitude?) from my Dad. He seems to be not depressed. I, however, really don't know what to look for and I had a BF once that was depressed and I never knew until he told me. Dad still has the twinkle in his eyes that remind me of this Dad. The DR. got Mom and Dad samples of memory medicine this week, so I pray this will help Dad some. I feel Mom's is too far advanced. The doctor and I am trying to get..........1st, home health care for Mom........2nd, get her into a nursing home even short term......and 3rd......jump through all the application hoops I need to get Mom on Medicaid and long term nursing care for her dementia ( the Alzxxx....... word is too long and hard to remember to spell):pat: and her lack of bowel control. She is the most stubborn of us all and is cloustiphobic and don't want any MRIs, EEGs or anything that has to attach to her or confine her in a small place. I think she had a stroke back in Nov. 2005 that started all of this.

If you think this is awesome Doc just wait. Consider the fact that it is the middle of the winter and most of us are using our tractors very seldom if that. Wait till warm weather comes back and we are getting some serious seat time, and Dougster is back to his breaking equipment routine..:yum:

I don't know Ed. :rolleyes: This first NTTSuper-Thread is gonna be very hard to beat!!! Even with me out there breaking & damaging equipment again, it would take more controversy, illness, naked snow-dancing and intense spring fever! :rolleyes:

Ok Jay you weren't too far off. :starbucks: Let's see -- I got home Friday night and started cleaning the snow from the week that the wife either missed or refused to clean up. Near as I can guestimate, we got a total of about a foot of fresh white stuff during the week. I finished cleaning everything up on Saturday after I got a new spark plug for the snowblower.

Sunday I awoke to another six inches of that dang stuff all over my previously cleand driveway and paths. Sunday afternoon I went out and cleaned up all that nasty yukky white stuff.

This morning I awoke to another 6 inches of that #%$&$$*^(**$* white stuff.

I think you need to start shaking your thang in the Dougster's direction, cause I have had enough. :yum: :yum:
 
My snow dances have led to a mild case of "frost nip" where the sun don't generally shine today :eek: . Wind chills were around -10 degrees this morning with winds gusting to 35+ mph for my constitutional driveway dance. I have been "hamstrung" by my inability to access some of my weather geek data off the internet for a couple of days :pat: :lam: , which throws off my "Dance of the Thang" direction :yum: . I just checked and I got everything back again (Good for me :); ? for NTTland :wink: ). A quick read of the data looks interesting. I think Ol' Dougster :starbucks: will get something to push around with this pending Tuesday - Wednesday system. I also think something is brewing for the weekend in the NE.

God bless you Jay!!! I am about to starve and/or freeze to death here in Dougster Manor. To heck with the old Edster. He has a great big red Mahindra 4530 (a.k.a., the "Tank") with which to move it... so I say: BRING ON THE SNOW!!! :mrgreen:

Yea but the problem is I am running out of places to put it. Dang I knew I should have taken pictures this weekend. That coupled with the fact that the Town is on the Old Edster's case now. :eek: Yes Yes I am in trouble again. I have been piling the Town's snow at the end of the maintained portion of the town road. This little speed bump, ( that by the way was over 12 feet tall, before the town came out and removed it today) has kept the snowmobile traffic going very slowly past the Edster Ranch. :cool:
But now it seems that someone has complained to the town and they have removed my speed bump. :pat:

Let's just say I was not very pleased with the news. I have already spoken to the town manager and given him several pieces of my mind. The wife is on high alert. Any snowmobile traffic goes by and she is under orders to call the State Police and or Wardens service. I have also sent a letter off to the local trail master for our town. :angry:

I find it funny on two levels...

If you can't see the absurdity & irony of that, you have lost your sense of humor!!! :yum:

Taint one bit funny at all. Lets say you try to back out of your driveway or go to take Fido out for a walk. Do you want to be afraid every time you walk to the end of your driveway of a snowmobile racing towards you. Or how about snowmobiles racing up and down the road at break neck speeds at all hours of the night. The enforcement by the officials is the key point here. There are not enough Wardens to effectively handle all of the problems and the police will not respond until the calls get so numerous that they no longer have an excuse to ignore them. I have been trying to deal with this problem for almost ten years now and have gotten no where. In order for the Warden or the police to do something they have to catch the people themselves. Pictures and or videos do you no good, believe me I've tried.

This little snow(speed) bump of mine is the first thing that has seriously slowed these idiots down. The beauty of the snow bump is that it is highly visible and any idiot that tries to go over it does so at his or her own risk. :cool:

Well, something is very wrong with this picture. Why would the town bother to remove your barrior? Simply to allow an illegal activity to take place? I find that hard to believe on its face unless you did something really nasty to tick off the town fathers recently. :rolleyes:

Lord knows I have had more than my share of problems with stupid town decisions that have nearly destroyed my business and hobbies for no good reason... and as you may recall, I almost got arrested for sticking it back in their faces... but there has got to be more to this story than what you are telling us! Even if they are more evil and stupid than my own evil and stupid town fathers, this still doesn't make a whole lot of sense. :o

Sorry if I offended... :sorry: ...but I still wish I were there when they came upon your little "speed bump"! ;)
