TIRE FOR TWO GUNS

The RTV will go 25 not 40.. but he specs on the Carlisle are based on 10mph.. I have never really seen weight limits based on speed?... so I don't know?
Hmmm, who wants to be the first to get and try "Z" rated tires?

A bit off subject but speaking of speed-rated tires, I went to get new tires on Mrs. Zoom's car. They wouldn't sell me anything under "H" rated tires and said they would prefer if I got "V" rated. I asked how fast they thought she drove to work. They said it doesn't matter. It's based on the cars maximum speed.
So what does the Mrs have for a car?

Install a turbo for me and I will try the tires [:)]

Geo Metro [:D]

Just kidding. She has a pair of Audi A6's.

After they told me that they wouldn't do that, I pulled out the owners manual to see what it said.
I'm paraphrasing here as I don't have the manual at my desk...
"Your new Audi comes equiped with H-rated tires which are rated for 130mph. Although your car will go much faster than that, we don't recommend you do so without first changing the tires to those with a higher rating".

"Although your car will go much faster than that" ?!?!?!?!?

bczoom,

Looks like itwouldn't take the Mrs. long to go get a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk .....

I would stay with the " H " rated tire. Don't want the " G " force the mash the bread or collaspe the jug of milk ~~~~~~

A PAIR of Audi's?? It must be nice [:)] does that make her twice as fast?[:)]

Well,

My wife drives a 07 Vette and the replacement tires will be properly speed rated-not that she is going to drive 186 mph!!!!!

I don't think I will either,,,,,,,,,but[:D]

1 Honda Mini van and 1 Honda Ridgeline [their new pickup] I don't think I need much for speed rated tires.

Our Honda motorcycle.. the GL-1800 is a touring bike that will do 130... does that count?

We have been 58 on our tandem bicycle [;)]

I'm here to tell everyone, if these gas prices don't start going down .....Don't think I will not take the 589 tires off my RTV, & install my OEM atv's back on, and start driving to town and around in it. Don't have to worry about any speeding tickets !!! A person can go forever in that thing on a tank of fuel ~~~

Mrs. Two Guns & myself has taken it to church twice, and everybody got a kick out of that >>>> Don't think I am not beyond of running around town in it. Have my safety emblem on it, and can run it anywhere in the state of Louisiana but the interstate by law being it's considered on paperwork as a tractor / ag equipmment ....... Should take advantage of that while gas prices are so high >>>>.

Back to the RTV tires... I'm really surprised how good they look. Maybe Kubota should start putting orange rims on the RTV.

Two Guns I'm jellous!I should move to the South. In Maine we are allowed only 500yds on public road. Registered as ATV's in Maine. Also only 1 antlered deer per year.
The only way I can get faster than 3 mph is two helpings of good old navy beans+!!!!!!!
I was thinking 3mph was pretty fast.. I was wondering how you got that fast. a turbo and Navy beans I am sure would do it.[:D]

ez chair you beat me to it. I use the RTV as farm equipment, I wish it could be considered as such. Legally If I want to go into my neighbors field.. to cross a fence from my property to his.. I need to have it registered.

Jamie I got some turf tires I will sell you..[:)]

Mister, don't be jealous. Come on down. Folks are alway happy to have ya here !!!!

500 yds, uh, you can hear the plantation bells futher than that .... And that one antlered deer rule, down here, that would get folks in all kinds of trouble. During huntin' season, even the preachers can't wait till church is over to go deer hunting ..... Recon' that's just the way of life down here in the south.I was born & raised here in Louisiana. Been many wonderful places, meet many wonderful people out in the world, but nothing will ever take the place of the people, land, hunting & fishing, and the ways of life it is down here.

You wouldn't believe the way people here are, the most friendliest folks, thoughtful, helpful , and still believe in the american ways and the simple things of life are the best there is !!!

I can remember, a few years ago, we had two of the John Deere combines, during the harvest season, out of the blue, just broke down, still under warrantyand parts were going to be two weeks of coming in to get them up and going again. We had the other six combines running in the fields, but wasn't enough to keep up for what was going on, and we had some bad weather coming in within the next few days that was suppose to last over a week or so . Anyway, went to the JD dealership asking is there any way we can speed things up. He said he's done all he can do,he wished he had some combines on the lot, we could have used them , butthey were sold about three weeks before..., we'll just have to wait ~~~~ I was about to go out of my mind.....

Don't know how, or who got the wordabout my problem. (but, I give Almighty God the credit ) come about 1:00pm after lunch. I looked down the road, and here come six more combines, from fellow farmers , three more grain buggies, and three semi-truck trailer rigs coming into the roads leading into the planation & farm. I didn't have any idea what was going on. About that time, the first combine pulled up and the gentleman ( Mr. Grey ) stepped out onto the platform of the combine and ye'lled " what fields do you want us to take out for you first >>>>> They were God sent !!!!

I will never forget that moment and that feeling >>>>>> That's what kind of people we have down here, always there when you need them, and when they tell you something, you cantake it to the bank !!!!!!

God Bless America !!!

Hammerhead, I appreciate the offer, have aready two sets of tires & rims for the RTV now !!! Heck, I'd keep 'em If I were you, might need 'em also some day !!!! ~~~ Been thinking about taking my OEM rims to the auto paint shop, and gettin' 'em painted Kubota Orange. I really like that Orange on Orange combo ~~~ for I might come April , install my OEM atv's back on for the warmer months doing my deer management thing out at the farm. That way, my 589's treads will not get so worn out and can make 'em last so much longer......

Sunday hunting. You must be in heaven! You guessed it, there's a law against it in Maine. I think it was all those Puritains that came over on the Mayflower. Great story! Farmers are like that up here also.

Easy ~~~

I just found out about five months ago, that some states didn't allow hunting on Sundays. When I first was told, I thought they were joking. Never in my life even heard of such ..... Until I talked about hunting to a man from Virginia, and during the conversation, I told him something to the effect of what I was going to do the next day, after making a morning hunt , doing some looking into anotherset of woods to set up in a week or so ~~~ which was on a Sunday, and he liked to have passed out, couldn't believe that our state allowed it.

But yes, it's heaven here, every day of the week !!!

To answer 1 of your original questions, the RTV900 has always had a 5-lug (bolt) pattern. It looks like everything else has been covered and more...the BX look is cool.
