Transmission leak

Hello everyone, thanks for all the great posts.
I have a leak in the transmission fluid (found by adding u.v. dye)
Any thoughts? Should there be nuts on these bolts?

My guess is the front seal on your transmission is leaking. There should be a drain plug on the bottom there, (Your pictures make it hard to see the details) I would remove that drain plug to see if that housing is full of UDT2. And no, those bolts thread into the engine, so no need for nuts.

thanks for that info, it is a 2004 rtv 900, had it for a couple of months now, there is 940 hours on it. The only fix i can figure out is dropping the engine to remove that gasket?

i pulled that plug a month ago and it was full of nice clean fluid, replaced all the filters, and fluids.
will check again, dipstick looks fine though
