Warranty ????

Since this machine has been new. My X1100C with a cab,the passenger door has a gap on the bottom. You can see daylight out the bottom. I have told my dealer about it and they said they will look at it. When you go down a dirt road the dust blows in down there! Should this be a new door or is there an adjustment that can be done?? It's due for its 50 hr service.

It could be the rubber seal. If the door is tight and not flimsily- shuts tight- it should be ok. Seeing daylight is not acceptable though.

Got a new John Deere $200,000 road grader few years ago that had the same problem. I tried adjusting the door but could not make it seal at the bottom. Door was welded together wrong. Complained and got a new door.

You shouldn't tolerate this at all.

Hopefully your dealer will rectify the problem during the service. Don't accept it back unless they do. Won't cost them anything to replace the door. They'll bill Kubota.

The doors and hinges are bolted on. I bet an adjustment will fix it. I've seen several little things on my new rig that aren't perfect, but I think I can fix them. Plastic shouldn't be part of a machine, IMO. I'll be posting pics of some problems and ideas for fixes in the future.
Plastic is a weak point in the tractors and RTVs, IMO.
Your problem isn't plastic though. I bet it is an easy fix. The doors on my rig are so tight, we roll a window down some to avoid slamming the door... air pressure.

I have looked at it. I don't really see any kind of adjustment and the door seal looks good. I don't want to have to put a new door on it,but it's letting way to much dust and dirt inside the cab! For what we have to pay for these machines I don't feel l should have to settle for something like that. If l wanted one that let the dust and dirt in, I would have bought one with no cab.

Whatever it takes to make it right..it needs to be done while under warranty. On day 366 , K will tell you to fly a kite. Are you saying it came that way? I am assuming it was . If it is your bend, then they won't cover it. In that case, you may can work magic with some ingenuity of your own.

By his initial post I concluded it came that way. He's probably already gonna get the "You bent it" excuse. Depending on how good his dealer is.....

My X1100c also has a door that isn't matched to the cab as good as it should be. mine lets a little rain in the top of the drivers door. i purchased mine out of warranty so it is mine to fix. something odd though is the doors on my 2008 1100 fit perfectly. i have been tempted to try an exchange to see if they will interchange. i would love to have roll up windows on the 08

Bordercollie you are right!! It is bent on the bottom! I'm not dumb when it comes to equipment! I just wanted your peoples opinions ! Thank you all !

There is some adjusting that can be done at the door latch... loosen the peg on the frame of the 4 wheeler and then shut the door and shift it around and see if will close the gap. It takes two people because someone has to hold the peg on the inside once you get it in the right spot. BUT I would insist the dealer make good on this! The doors are very flimsy and can be bent easily.
