Two related questions Jay: With my trees (and those of my clients) still hanging low and heavy with snow and ice...

1) Will we see a sufficient warmup between now and this coming storm to melt said snow and ice from the trees???

2) And if not, will Thursday/Friday's storm ADD to the problem or REDUCE/ELIMINATE the problem???

I swear... I haven't seen the trees so overloaded with sticking snow and ice in a LONG, LONG time. :rolleyes: I am actually surprised that I didn't lose any of the really big ones. :o

1) That snow is like cement/glue even in my area. It still hangs on even with the wind. An upper level low system kept things cloudy today which kept melting and temperatures down. I believe that Wednesday and most of Thursday will be mostly sunny which will increase temperatures and melting and will hopefully take some of the snow off the trees.

2) Right now I think the anticipated melt will reduce the snow accumulation problem prior to this pending system.

Will keep an eye on things in NE.

Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute there young lady! :) I believe the title of this nifty thread of Jay's is "Weather in New England." I'm not sure you're allowed to have snow down there in the Lone Star state... least not the part where you are at!!! ;)

You and the Big Red Beast can still go out and play, of course... but you'll have to settle for stumps and mud. No snow for you!!! :cool:

.........and here I thought it was the Texas Blizzard thread.:pat: I don't believe you know what cotton pickin' is like.:moon3: Cotton is probably the only white stuff we get year after year.:waiting: I can't go out and play now, as it rain all yesterday evening and last night and this morning.:hangingclothes: All my recently worked playground is a big mud pit right now.:badidea: I don't want to get the Big Red Beast muddy because it is too cold to rinse her off.:lam: So I gotta stay inside and dream of cold white stuff.:snow: Ya gotta understand, any snow down here is a snow day, no matter how much falls.:cool::letitsnow:

Well, you certainly don't want mud to accumulate on the Big Red Beast as that would violate guidelines, terms and conditions of the Bill6 Standard of Excellence in tractor care and maintenance... which I know you are anxious to comply with at least up until your upcoming trip to Tulare! :D Meeting Bill6 in person and not being in compliance could make for some very uncomfortable moments! ;)

I hope there will be lots of pictures posted of this momentous and historical event! :thumb: This will be a veritable summit meeting of the Mahindra delegation's most distinguished members from all but the New England Delegation (unless, of course, I can talk the old Edster into flying us both out there with a week's worth of his infamous lobsta and fillet mignon dinner money!!!). :respect:

I would even donate what's left on my Starbucks gift certificate!!! :)

The only way I am going to make it out there in 3 1/2 hours is on a plane. A very fast one at that. :eek: I've been out there before, if you think the people around here are lousy drivers, you ain't seen nothing buddy.

I used to drive to the Boston area weekly for work. There was a big difference in driving "styles" between western and eastern MA. I think the dividing line is Springfield, an area well known to old Dougster. The scary thing was how well and rapidly I shifted gears :eek: :cool: . I did spend a lot of time "analyzing" the other drivers. :rolleyes: Jay
