Weather in NE

I am taking bets on that one. Like I said I've been there and I have ridden with you. :poke:
And are you betting for me or against me??? ;)
I used to drive to the Boston area weekly for work. There was a big difference in driving "styles" between western and eastern MA. I think the dividing line is Springfield, an area well known to old Dougster. The scary thing was how well and rapidly I shifted gears   . I did spend a lot of time "analyzing" the other drivers. Jay
I think the dividing line is more like Worcester or Framingham... but your point is taken. It's a different world out where you live. It's a shame that it's even still Massachusetts. It would probably fare better as South Vermont or its very own state! :D

Ha, I'm not in this to loose money. I'm betting against you. :yum:

You just don't think I am competitive in the putzy old A.R.E., do you??? Okay for you... Yee of little faith!!! :o

Remember what's sitting on the other side of my garage if you want to talk pure highway competitiveness.

The fact that it doesn't currently run can be quickly remedied ya know!!! :boxing: All it takes is m..m..m..m..money.

But now you are way off point Doug. We are not talking competitive driving here. We are talking about the lack of driving ability. We typically call it Masshole driving skills. The only difference on the Left Coast is that they take it to an all new level. Ther is no way you drive as bad as those folks out there.

Heck scrap steel is what got them into trouble in the first place. :pat:
Ed,
I heard that the gussets were one half the thickness they should have been. :badidea: and that the beams pulled apart. Heavy construction equipment might have been the straw that broke the bridge's back.
hugs, Brandi

Hmmmmmmmmmmm gussets not thick enough. Sounds like an Engineer made a slight miscalculation. :pat:

Impossible! Engineers never make mistakes! :respect: At least they didn't 40 years ago!!! :o

Dougster

:yum: :yum: :yum: :yum: Yea right. :yum: :yum: You want to talk about a 90' canteliver that has currently been taken down and awaiting redesign by the Engineer. Can you say oooooooooops!!!
Yeah... and when they find out that a bunch of steel is missing off that ugly rig... and they trace it to the scrap bin... and then up to a certain farm in Backwoods, Maine... whatcha gonna say then??? :D

Dougster :starbucks:

You folks forget that I am a MASSACHUSETTS driver. One of the worst, nastiest and most feared drivers on the planet! No California driver has anything on me.

Dougster
Dougster,
I haven't had the pleasure of driving in Massachusetts:pat:, but have had about 8 weeks experience driving in New Jersey, around the airport near Atlantic City. If y'all drive like those folks in Jersey......y'all drive real bad.:hide:
Never saw so many old beaters up there since I was working in Mexico.

Never happen. What comes home is scrap. I have never and will never take an essential part of a structure home for personal use. :notthatway: :forgetit: The ENR on that job has come out and admitted seriuos flaws in his design.

No comparison between Massachusetts and New Jersey. Massachusetts drivers are MUCH worse!!! :D

But talk about a really funny place to drive: Your DFW Metroplex area is absolutely insane. The smallest family "starter" vehicle on the road is a Chevy Suburban or Ford Excursion... and then it goes up from there! Meanwhile, I'm in an old rust-colored Chevy Vega with no brakes from Rent-a-Wreck!!!

I missed this one. Lets just say that I have first hand experience driving in both of the states mentioned. Like I have stated before people areound here drive like Massholes. Now lets talk about New Jersey drivers. I am talking quite a few years ago, I believe there was less of an illegal immagrant problem back then so I don't know what that has done. So what I do know is that New Jersey drivers are talented. There is nowhere else in this great country where you will experience such driving skills. What I am referring to is the ability to travel down the highway at 80-90 mph in bumper to bumper traffic:eek: --there is no equal to this experience. --Ed

Dougster,
Yep, my Ram 2500 is on the lower end of the diesel truck range. All the Fords and Dodges at work are 4X4$. I stay out of the DFW area. I will take a 2 lane road 50 miles out of the way to avoid all those non native Texan wanna be's. Come to think of it, if I did that back east, I would be in another state.:yum::yum:

J,

I got 3.5 in the back of my truck on Monday, but lots of folks say they got 5 so you were pretty much on the $$$.

Now what is your prediction for Friday?
