What's it Worth?

18 days in the bush up in Alaska and getting ready for two knee replacements has got me thinking I ought to trade my RTV for something a little less rugged. My 2005 RTV900 only has 65 hours on it and has always been garage kept. I have mostly enjoyed tricking it out in my garage and obviously haven't gotten to use it much in the field, so I thought maybe I ought to get it to someone who would use it more. Most of you have seen a picture of my rig. It has the soft cab, a high bench with a two gun rack in the back, an adjustable shooting rail on the roof, Surefoot Kevlar belted run flat tires, 2 inch lift kit, Warn 2500 winch with wireless remote, factory bed liner, tool box, dome light, front and back work lights, a GoLite remote control spot light on the roof, a feeder removably mounted on the front bumper with a switch on the dash board, a deep cycle Optima battery, a glove box, a remote signal light for the high bench rider to signal the driver (red LED on dash in front of steering wheel), windshield wipers, a soft rifle case hung on the rear window, and a 12 volt fan mounted on the dash (red neck airconditioning).

What do you guys think I should ask for it?

Andrew

I'd deduct $100 per year of age.
I'd deduct $2 per hour on the clock (figure the machine has 5000 hours of life and at $10K new, deduct $2 per hour).

Accessories is a tough one. Some people won't give you squat for them, especially if it's something they don't want or won't use. My rule-of-thumb is 50% of what it cost (not counting labor as it's a "labor of love").

In rough numbers, it's probably worth $13-14K but it's hard to find a buyer at that price unless it's specifically what they need since they can buy a new one for less then that.

Looks very nice. I have no clue on how to price it but if the price is right and gas prices drop as predicted I might be interested. Be sure to check around with a few dealers. Nada has prices for cars and boats, someplace has to have a guide for prices on RTV's. Also search the internet for other ones like yours for sale. I doubt you find any with as low of hours as yours but still you'll get a general idea and you can go from there.

For a cream puff like you have ebay might be a good option.

It's worth TOP DOLLAR !!!

I wouldn't give it away, there is much in this machine, plus, the Kubota RTV here is new, no flaws, PERIOD !!!!

Might check with the folks like Kings Ranch, Ted Nugent, Jim Zumbo, Jim Shockley, big hunting outfittters like that. Or 'ole
"Choot 'em" himself, swamp man Troy Landrey.....

That is the caliber of people that would appreciate such a machine like this, and knowing what it has in it, and would not paying top price for
they would know what things like this cost, and the cost to set them up .

This is just my 2 cents worth.
