If that kit had been available back in 1977… I’d still be driving my ‘76 F-150!
(Well… except for the fact it was also standard on-the-column 3-speed shift and no power steering!) LOL
One of the dumbest things I did as a young man was to
special-order my first new pickup truck…. I wanted it simple-and-trouble-free as possible…. so standard shift, 360 V8 (they were discontinuing that truck engine so I wanted it instead of a passenger-car engine), standard “crank-up/dn“ windows, “Twin I-Beam Suspension”, vinyl flooring and “woven vinyl” bench seat…and no power steering.
I had never before experienced the pleasures of parallel parking a standard-shift transmission, manual steering truck
And that 360V8 was replaced TWICE in the first six-months under warranty because of noisy valve-train due to worn-out mfr’g machinery at the Windsor engine plant.… the Reason they were discontinuing that solid-tappet engine, replacing it with a modern engine.
I sold that truck when it had only 10K miles and 10 months on it…(only 1K on the second new engine)….to another young fool who thought it was a great idea.
When you’re 20 years old …and making the most important decisions of your life…. you are about as stoopid as you’ll ever be!
