Hi everyone,

I have just purchased my first RTV after doing a bit of searching I decided to go with the Kubota RTV900 as they are just more reliable and have a world of aftermarket and OEM parts available,

I have one question if someone can help me, I have been having a look on here at the high rise intakes that everyone has on there machines and they are awesome,

the only thing I cant work out is if I was to fit my air filter up to be on the ROPS do I need to change the air filter box etc or can I use the current one and just move it higher?

I'm pretty good when it comes to a welder and making bits and pieces so any help would be awesome

As I said in the title I’m an Aussie so be nice:14_6_12:

Welcome to the Forum !!!!! :tiphat:

Yes, you can use the existing box. Many people down here do.
Just make sure your rubber hoses and claps are tight . You will have no problem !!!!! I love mine. Ours air filters, are just as clean as the day I
installed them.

Thanks for the warm welcome two guns,

As I have been browsing the forums I have noticed you seem to be the man in the know

Wondering if you could help me out with another issue that is puzzling me,

Tires!! They are giving me a headache!! Where I live and will be using the machine it’s not as muddy as down in your neck of the woods so I don’t need something super aggressive,

I was seriously thinking about running these as I have a mate that works for a company that sells them locally hence I’ll get a discount, I am just not sure if they would fit

If you could take a look at the link and relieve my head ache it would be greatly appreciated

Hi Cookie. Welcome to the forum. Like Two Guns said you can do that. There is an old thread on here that I bumped so you can see what I did to mine. http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14070&highlight=intake&page=2 I did take off the oem air collection box. That's what I call it but it has the long slit and is mounted with a bolt there. My air extension is good for me because I don't go in deep water much... just crossing ditches and wet cotton fields etc on the farm. Otherwise it would all need to be on the high rise screen like Two Guns. Good Luck. bordercollie

Oh Cookie. It will now takes months to bring TwoGuns out of the clouds since you made him the go to and know it guy. All of us will now have to remind him that he is just from the swamps. I'll refrain from sharing my thoughts of TwoGuns, for all of our sakes.

Welcome to the RTV world. You must tell us more about you 900. Year model, color, hydraulics, etc.

I'm one that purchased the high-rise OEM intake. It's a bit costly, but considering the cost of PVC pipe and fittings and my time, I felt the OEM was my best option. You'll be amazed at the affect of moving the intake away from the back tire area.

Big horns are one of the best all purpose tires on the market. Have had on a Polaris ranger and a Polaris rzr and very pleased with them. Congrats on you rtv purchase , I have been a happy rtv owner since 05

Hear super remarks on these tires. Never heard of anything negative about them. And the company that build these tires have a great reputation.

I would be proud to have a pair on my RTV.

Bczoom and several others run them and has had good reports about them.

Cheers for the help guys decided to go with the maxxis tyres so should be great in the mud and rock now,

My rtv is a general purpose one so the only hydros on it are the ones for the tipper body, but am I able to use those points for other items?

She's a 2010 model with 1150hrs on her just needs a really good service and it'll run a lot better,

I plan on moving the air filter up on the ROPS this weekend so I will post pics soon also,

Again thanks for the warm welcome and the tips so far I am sure there will be more to come
