Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

The past year, he has brought home a bunch of big boy toys to use on the weekends around the farm. I think I will keep him around for a while.....he is turning out to be quite handy.....
I like big boy toys. :)
I'm only 500 miles away. A simple day drive so he can come in on a Friday afternoon, leave Sunday at midnight and nobody will notice the missing equipment.
What do you say? We on?

Anyone else being overrun by poison ivy this year?
It's friggin everywhere. I'm doing the neighbors acreage as a favor, just to stop the spread and to keep his perimeter safe for his kids (I kill everything with 5' of the lawn).

My farm has been soggy wet this year so far. So, I am being over run by everything. Including poison ivy. We went 8 days straight with rain in the middle of June. The past week, it has finally dried out enough I have been able to do a bit of dirt work around the farm without loading up the under carriage of my CTL with sticky mud. Our grass should be brown and crunchy by now. Nope.

Hello all. I haven't posted much about the RTV lately because ever since I put the K-Connect on it, the poor thing pretty much stays parked all summer and I use the other atv's for trail riding now. I guess it's now just our snow removal machine and dump truck for around the property.
Even all my tractors been sitting now that I'm pretty much done all my road building and landscaping on the property.

But I did get out to my friends farm and helped him with hay. I got to run the John Deere 6430 Premium with a New Holland inverter. That inverter is awesome. It works really good and unlike raking and tedding you only have to touch the hay once. And no leaf loss or broken stems.

Finally took the snow blower off the RTV. And discovered I really need to use it more in the summer. It was horribly gutless! It used to be really strong, did a solid 24/25 MPH and climbed my hills at 7 MPH with a load of gravel and AC on.
Took about 5 or 6 laps around property and up my hills before it finally started coming back around.
Ever since I put the K-Connect on and bought another sport side by side I quit using it for trail riding. So I told family start driving around property with it to keep it in use.
The drive coupler still looks like new after a full winter of blowing snow.

You might consider using a soft mallet to clear the spark arrestor as they can get plugged.

I wonder if there is any kind of power draw on it now from that PTO driveline even when it's not engaged?

I had it out all afternoon picking up brush around the yard. Was a bit better again today. Fuel filter still looks good.

It doesn't have Bio-diesel in it, does it?

No, we actually have good fuel in this area. I think something might be not adjusted properly after dealer installed the hand throttle and K-Connect? Because I'm finding now that is running better after using it every day..........it got power back, but it doesn't seem to be recovering fast.
Meaning I'm climbing one of my hills and it will almost stall out momentarily for a couple seconds, then all of a sudden it will rev back up and go right back to 9 MPH where it used to be able to climb them.
In other words it will bog down and not recover nearly as quick as it used to.

I still have to get it back to dealer for some warranty anyway. The PTO light never did work and I seem to think the PTO driveline has more vibration than it should? But I just sold my trailer and am still waiting for the new one I ordered to come in.
