That would be the way to take off the doors, but why would you? It defeats the purpose of a factory cab with heat & A/C. You would be better off getting a RTV900 if plan to do this IMO.

Looks & sounds good to me. Comparing it to a tractor with a hand throttle (like they all have) makes a lot of sense...I have never thought of it that way. However, I would only do it when conditions demand it i.e. in rice patties, mud, snow...etc. I really want to drive a RTV with tracks! [H]

To answer 1 of your original questions, the RTV900 has always had a 5-lug (bolt) pattern. It looks like everything else has been covered and more...the BX look is cool.

I really don't think this is anything to be concerned about...it sounds like the normal hum of the front differential being engaged. I think you can contribute this noise to gearing backlash, which is normal (needed) in a gearbox type application. Go here for more details...
