    Four Wheel Drive not working

You say linkage is moving as it should, do you mean all the way to the transmission? If linkage at trans is good and operating, I wonder if you could put a pair of vise-grips on the driveshaft for the front axle where it originates at the trans and try to turn it and see what happens. You may...

Curtis plow with up/down hydraulic problem

The plow is really not meant to be held off the ground with the plow lift, that's the job of the shoes. This is what works for me. I made 2 shoes out of 1/2" flat stock. Mine are about an 1-1/2" wide but anything about an inch to two would be fine. They use 2 of the cutting edge bolt holes and...

Kubota plow lift need help in a bind

Mark, Have you put power directly to actuator to confirm it's not a wiring issue? There is a relay close to the battery (at least on mine that's where it is.) Sometimes you can test and read voltage but have system not carrying enough amps to operate.

    Merry Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas from the metropolis of Grayling Michigan. No snow here currently and no complaints from me.

    Heavy duty suspension springs

Not sure about the 1100's but I put the heavy springs on my 900 and really like them. They have a red paint mark on them. The original ones had a white paint mark on them. I wish I would have measured ride height before the change. They really boosted the buggy up and it rides better without...

    slow

Welcome to a great forum. Sound like a fuel problem to me. I think I'd start with changing the fuel filter and cutting the old one apart and checking it. Partially plugged fuel filters in any motor will first show up on abnormal loads such as inclines. Maybe abnormal is the wrong word but I'm...

    HELP HELP HELP

The hyd. fittings are for using the hyd dump features for angling a curtis plow. I'd bet your rig is already wired for a curtis electric lift. It is just a small flat 2 wire connector on the end of a set of wires. Check and see if they tucked the wiring up somewhere behind the brush guard or...

    Rearview Mirror

Right after I got my buggy I mounted a 7" convex in the same spot you put yours but I also mounted a 5" on the outer edge of the brush guard on the drivers side. They both come in very handy. Have thought about trying a wide golf cart style someday.

    Tranny oil change rtv900

Welcome to a great forum. I think the trans only has one drain plug. You should stick with Kubota super UDT oil on this. From what the forum has taught me you are asking for problems is you don't. The reservoir under the seat is for the power steering, and yes you pull the suction hose off at...

Adjusting Bypass Vavle for smooth shifts

I adjusted brakes but struck out on the brake operated pressure release. To make a long story short, there are 2 reliefs. The top one is operated by the dash knob and the bottom is tied into the brake linkage. After adjusting the brakes I started on the brake operated relief linkage. The bottom...

Adjusting Bypass Vavle for smooth shifts

I assume that you have to unpin the linkage between the hydraulic brake cyl. linkage and the cam levers, so that when you manually apply the brakes with a bar you can tell if you need to adjust to make everything line up again??

Adjusting Bypass Vavle for smooth shifts

I'll do it this weekend. I know mine will probably vary from yours but I'll adjust in 1 turn increments like you did. Looking forward to hopefully not using the dash knob as much.

Adjusting Bypass Vavle for smooth shifts

Thanks Richard for taking the time to make this excellent tutorial. I am going to give it a go. I will definitely keep track how much I move it, like you did. I'm glad this all came up because I didn't even know my pressure release was tied to the braking. I think brake pliers to release the...

    RTV900W6-H

Mine is also an '08 and after reading post by aurthuritis I found that mine has the link to the pressure relief. I will probably experiment with shortening the link to try and improve shifting. The pressure relief is on drivers side right/rear. It is tied in with the brake linkage with a double...

    RTV900W6-H

I checked mine and it does have a link that is supposed to operate the release valve. Like you said the dash knob operates the valve better than the brake linkage. Can you give us more info on adjusting the link or do you just start shortening it a 1/4 turn at a time? I lubed all points in...

    RTV900W6-H

I believe that on the newer machines the dash knob pressure relief is incorporated in pressing the brake pedal. I would like to see a kit for refitting the older machines.

    RTV900W6-H

Welcome to a great forum. I have an '08 and have similar problems. Make sure you are using the brake in between shifts and don't be in a hurry and don't force things. I find myself counting to 3 after pressing on the brake pedal to shift or change direction. That allows the pressure to bleed...

    RTV Air Filter

I bought the K&N filter (E-4552) for my rig. I thought I was buying the oiled type which I have been very happy with on 2 pickups. WRONG! (should have read description better:pat:) This new version is not oiled. It let dirt pass through it to the secondary safety filter right off the git go. I...

    tire pressure

I have a 900 with worksite tires. When I first got the buggy I ran the recommended 20 psi. Not anymore. I have 16 in them currently. Where I really noticed the advantage of dropping the pressure is when plowing snow. I started running 14 psi in the winter and it was night and day difference...

    RTV died while fueling

I have wired my Mr. Funnel to grab bar just above filler neck especially when using fuel that has sat around for a while. But you could use the funnel to filter questionable fuel from one container to another. Yes a little awkward and slow but not horrible. And gives big piece of mind. I'm with...
